    Sorry about the PS3.

Would have been nice if you had PSN+ and have uploaded the save file in the cloud, then you can just download it again to your new ps3. That was deciding factor. Now i have peace of mind everyday. hehe!

Anyway, good luck with your new toon. There's a lot of low toons nowadays so i dont think you'll have a problem getting someone to work with.

If only my mind could forget everything about dark souls, and I could have my first blind crazy playthrough back again sad

@serious if you have demon's i would suggest playing that again. I went back to it and felt it was almost like my first playthrough(I forgot most of the enemy locations even after 15 playthroughs plus the maneaters are just a unique boss fight)

thanks for the support guys. Spent the weekend getting that stuff back, lots of crying and pain but i finally got a character back to where he was. Now i need to start on the magic character and dex build character. I was thinking about the ps + but i would only use it for the storage part soooooo i was like thats a negative.

What blew up? I just had my 2nd go down and got both fixed locally via craigslist. $75 to fix a blu-ray lens issue and $60 to fix a YLOD. I purchased PSN+ after so I can back up my saves in case either happens again.

Mine just started acting up. It will not always read the game disc. Was that what yours was doing?

Yep, on my 60GB BC one, after a few weeks it wouldn't read discs at all.

So you bought a new PS3, updated the Firmware of the PS3 correct? You should be able to take the hard drive from your old PS3 and put it into your new one. Problem solved.

i downloaded the new firmware and put the old hard drive in and it said in order to use it has to be reformatted. I still have it and never did it so i just started anew.

@aceluby, sorry bro but it had to be done. I was gonna snuggle with it but it was getting melodramatic on me lol

sorry to hear about the PS3

I haven't used it for DS but I used to backup periodically to USB Flash drive for games like Fallout3 etc.

I never saw the point of paying for a service when I can buy 1Gb drives for $2 and having the same save game on 2 sticks for redundancy purposes.

however in saying this ..... I would assume DS game data and saves can be copied to both PS+ and USB like all the other games ?
