That game looks amazing. What a concept. How was the actual gameplay?

On a kind of related note I always dreamt about making a game kind of like this. 1 player on each team would be the commander and strategist, and would create buildings and units, as with an RTS game. All the other players, up to hundreds, would then wait for units to be created, and would control said units in an FPS manner. You could go up ranks to control stronger units until you're driving massive machines of terror. But that's just me. (Any game designers here, feel free to make that game now).

Just think of your favourite RTS, if you have one, whether it be Starcraft or Supcom, and imagine controlling the units. Cool right?

Totally derailing this a bit, but Digitalyzed, a friend and I had a concept for basically using Starcraft units and lore but making a Battlefront style game out of it. I want.

Let's team up and make the best damn game this generation has ever seen! I also think an FPS conquest game which allows you to jump ingame between planets and wage in different massive wars would be good. Me and my ideas eh.

On topic: Never played it but looks pretty fun, shame I can't try it now.

It looks a bit like a game I saw recently... Earth Defense Force: Armageddon I think... Its the human side of the combat in that game basically. You have a decked out soldier fighting massive swarms of insects.

This looks really neat! So you could be playing online as a human and it's like an FPS/TPS, while someone else would be playing the bugs as an RTS? Like the human enemies your bug army fights are actually individually player controlled? What a cool concept.

Earth Defense Force: Armageddon and its predecessor are both really, really fun. No plot to speak of, just endless bug war mayhem. The voice acting is also pure B-movie actor, on purpose. Some of the best 2 player couch coop games I've played.

I loved the game you would have a six man team(FPS)vs two bug Overlords(RTS) its was lots of fun and reminded me alot of starship troopers no idea why it got shut down heard that some kids game company bought out the old company and dropped it because of the violence
