I would actually try my Dual Shield character again... and just wear two havels shields to see how the battle goes.
I wish that when attacking with the shield, you blocked attacks.

Well if a shield on your back blocked hits, and attacking with a shield blocked hits, what would kill you then? Magic perhaps? But with havels shield that has excellent defense, it would be quite the mission to kill you haha.

I brought up that exact thing a while back in a "What would you change" type of thread. It would make pvp 1,000 times funner I think. Straight up dueling (well, straigher up), everyone more or less shieldless.

Nobody is. I just read threads on PvP on how people just hate backstabbers. I get invaded once in awhile and i get backstabbed but it doesnt bother me as much as it does to others. I figured this would be a backstabbers haters haven haha

But i do second the whole blocks even regular strikes part. That would make sense since there is a shield on your back........should block stuff.

Speaking of which, I encountered my first TRUE backstab fisher yesterday at Anor Londo. I've had people circle strafe before, but this guy was a master. He got me twice before I started figuring out how to stay away. It's the only time I've used estus during a fight (not counting when I was brand new), and I'd do it again. Felt especially rewarding to soulmass his face up real good.

actually there are three shields made for attack, the barbed,pierce and bonewheel shields each has base damage similar to a long sword and the barbed and pierce shields have c str and b dex scaling. whats more two handed r1 attacks have blocked enemy attacks on my dual shield file. the bone wheel shield gets arounf 400-500 damage elemental and its r2 move hits three time in quick succession one shotting quite a few players at around lvl 60.
