Have you ever unplugged?

Have you ever unplugged either your power or internet in the middle of a PvP encounter? I'm not talking about Co-op.

Nope, never. I either take it up the ass or win haha xD.

I sincerely doubt anyone here knowingly did that...

Does your brother unplugging and replugging internet for some *** internet game in middle of PvP count?

that annoyed me so much he knows it quits to menu when internet dies, unfortunately happends a lot to me :|

Im with much. here I don't think any have but I guess the poll will show that. Me no hell no like carphil says too much work to get back up to get the blood stain and its just a game.

There are plenty that have unplugged. Some even defend it. I was just curious if they would actually make an appearance in a poll.

That would be me.
The only reason I have done it is because of the box glitchers in the Parish and infinite health modders.
Other than that I have only done it with someone with an ultra-great sword that was swinging as if it was a greatsword.
If it isn't the above then I hunt them down for wasting my time.

Nope. I even fight it out with the modders. It's just a fucking game. I don't give a *** if I lose.

Never did myself, but I did make a friend do it.

When I play myself I just get to the boss so fast, if I don't want to engage the phantom, he can't even catch me anyways.

But that time I was trying to help a friend beat Seath (get the Moonlight greatsword, actually--easier with a friend who knows the tricks!). He was at the Prison bonfire, and Duke's was no problem at all. I just ran and one-shotted all the enemies, even the channelers, so we'd have beaten the whole place in a matter of minutes. Problem was you can only summon once you're out of the prison, so I had to place my sign up there. By the time he got there, then managed to summon me (which isn't always easy...) I'd get him near the balcony in no time, but that's where we got invaded by a Japanese player 4 times in a row. Normally I love getting invaded--free souls!--but this lag was so bad there was nothing I could do. I'd just get lagstabbed out of nowhere every time. And by the time my friend got out and summoned me again, we'd get invaded again. No joke, the third time I actually managed to get the backstab animation on the invader to start, then it interrupted and switched to me getting backstabbed (OHK every time, of course). So the next time the same guy invaded I just told my friend to unplug. Then he got to the bonfire, and after that we beat Seath in no time.

Not intentionally. I was playing DkS when I got invaded. I was starting to panic saying "OH S* OH S*!" Then my power flicked off. My sister was using the Hairdryer and our fancy toaster was turned on by a random ghost short circuiting the house.

We threw the toaster out and got one that pops the bread out and only does bagels and toast.

Only once, invader refused to fight me and kept running away in Dukes. Any time I would engage he would run away. Tried taunting, bows, dung, anything and whenever he got hit he would run away and hide behind the Channeler's in NG+. After 15 min of this I got tired of it and just quit the game and sent him a message... '***'.

Never done it. It seems like a huge waste of time under most circumstances. However, I think aceluby's case was justified. I wouldn't spend 15 minutes playing hide and go seek when I'm trying to finish a level. When you invade, you ought to have the decency to fight the host.

Never unplugged but when I'm invading in a pvp/duel spot (not a classic pve zone) and finding 3 guys waiting to farm me, I'm trying to run and escape with my black cristal.

if my memory serves me right it was in anor londo when trying to solo o+s... i must have died something like 40 or 50 times ... perhaps more, cant remember really, but it was a full weekend of playing that i was stuck there... seriously that first knight behind the staircase, every time he saw me pop up in my shity gold-hemmed clothes he must have been saying... ffs dude, just give up, i'm tired of wooping your ass all weekend!!

well to finish the story... i got so fed up of this that i used one of my last humanities to go and summon solaire and hopefully one more ghost and continue with the rest of the game at last. I rushed and killed the sentinels so as my solaire bro would be on full health when we go for the boss... when i saw the invasion sign pop-up on the screen... well you know the rest, the reaction was instant. Some times i just prefer not to risk.

My Xbox is too far away for me to power it down in time for it to be any use.

I hope you didn't answer YES, lol. Unintentionally power outage does not count as unplugging.

Also, as far as aceluby goes. I was seriously consider putting in a little clause that if you had only unplugged once and it was under those circumstances, then answer NO, but I didn't cause I thought it would be too confusing. But to agree with strangejoy, absolutely justfied if the guy just flat out won't engage after so long.

I have 1 time, the situation was similar to aceluby's. It is extremely annoying when someone invades and just runs away like a little ***! I still run into ppl like that from time to time but I just kill myself now instead of going against my (no power down rule) lol

People used to do this all the time on Demon's Souls. I would win the PvP match and before I was awarded the victory they would shut their console off and I'd get the message saying (User: blahblahblah has left, returning to your own world) or something like that. It would piss me off so much.

i tend to sign off when i dont really feel like fighting people. But if you want to get hate messages, dash at them and run past them, go around the corner,wave, then sign out. They love it.

I've never unplugged, I find it cowardly.

I've taken the risk of being invaded by being human, if this invader kills me it is my own fault.

Well its just a game after all so i think people can do what they want. I mean after all people paid their 60 bucks for the game which entitles them to do as they please with it.
