Slab Farming

Assuming maxed item discovery, how many Darkwraiths should I expect to kill before I finally get a slab? At the moment, it's no big deal since I still need plenty of chunks and large shards; but eventually, it's going to get real old. I already have enough Dark Hands to choke a mule...

It's completely random. Last playthrough (not farming) I had two slabs drop when I was just killing the darkwraiths who were in the way of the Very Large Ember. Most times when I'm farming, I'll get only dark hands and chunks. Maybe the trick is not to care about the slab.

Is there really any point in trying to farm slabs? I tried for a few hours before and got exactly squat...

Funny thing, I wasted a ton of time in Demon's Souls (after Dark) trying to farm Stonefang's bugbears (or whatever those lava grubs are called). Never got what I wanted, but I ended up with like 60 of the more common item drop.

Well, I can now confirm that the answer is "a lot", but I finally got one. I guess I'll just farm until I don't need chunks anymore and hope for the best.

I got a titanite slab from the very first Darkwraith I met in my life. Seriously, first of the game, first playthrough.
And then.... NEVER AGAIN

i have close to 900hrs of gameplay and i farm wraiths for chunks and have not ever gotten a slab.

Totally agree with this lol when i got my first slab from farming i was getting the large ember like you, then my second slab dropped when i went to fight the four kings. I have never got any kind of slab from actually farming them haha.

I don't know exactly, but around 35-40 runs. I picked up about 100 chunks and around a dozen dark hands before I got the slab.
