LOL!!!!! I cast Toxic Mist, and the toxic head from Painted World were casting the fire spell. He got intoxicated, and then I hit him with my GLGS, it broke his guard!!!!! The I hit him again with the sword, breaks his guard and got stunlocked to death. I couldn't believe it, and my game got a disc read error after claiming his ear.

Does this mean the great lord sword may be a viable option in pvp? With its stun ability? lol doubt it but I so want to use this sword on my main.

Dude, the GLGS is pretty good for PvP, plenty of Stunlocking and a lot of Physical damage.

sadly, it only costs 8 more levels to do 300 more damage or more if you go +15 plus buffed. The Greatsword also has a much longer reach. I've found that in PvP you want to be able to do at a minimum of 600 damage on your character screen. Go much less than that and your looking at a difficult battle to get through.

Also, GLGS weighs slightly less than the ultra counter part.

Stunlocking capability is the same as any Greatsword (<53 poise) although it may reduce more stamina hitting shields. 495 AR two handed 27 str / 20 dex.

Falchion? He must not have had much poise. But, a DMB Falchion is like the cursed kilij from DeS. If a full combo connects, you're as good as dead. It can be lethal in the right hands.

Yeah have enough stamina that when I get close to them I can unleash a constant barrage of nasty flowing atacks.

GLGS is a favourite sword of mine, with its stunlocking and modest damage I find it great for destroying ganking groups. I manage to kill plenty of people with it at SL120, it's not as good as the MLGS, but it's a pretty close contest if you ask me.

But it a little shorter than my Greatsword of Artorias (immature giggle). I like the extra range.

I just stunlocked a full stone golem's set, he was intoxicated too. Could endurance have a role on poise????

What does the contraction of AR represent. I might be misuing it on a regular basis and would very much so like to rectify these mistakes.
Edit: "What is does the..."
What am I a pre schooler?

Attack Rating, from Demon's Souls. In Dark Souls it doesn't have a name, it just says R/L Weapon 1 / 2. I like AR better than RW1, lol.

Also AR/= damage. There are any number of variables affecting damage, a big one being split damage types.

Yeah, The names of the bs and parry techniques, as well as many of the "cookie cutter" builds stat distributions and name of any given tactic ie fishing turtling, panic spam are carry overs as well.

Also as many know you have to be careful when figuring out how much damage you'll do with elemental weapons. Remember, you'll have to go through two types of defense instead of one, so something with a total AR of 500, 250 elemental 250 physical, will deal less damage than something that has 400 AR, all physical.

Probably very poorly, unless you are just a lot better than them. Very low damage going through the two damage types, you take damage with every hit, and they'll be flipping around a lot more than likely meaning bleed build up isn't all that simple, they'll be just as mobile as you with more than likely a stronger weapon. But, skill can always overcome that, and in regards to campers they are often some of the worst players in the game.

Why i get -1 for stating facts?
@viral they will always take a base % of your ar from each attack though so it may depend on how high the kats ar actually is. Some weapons pull it off, light washing poles are viable even at sl120, on the weaker side but fast and LONG.

People have lately been throwing negative reps around like wildfire, it's best to just ignore it otherwise it will promote whoever is doing it to send more you way, this post will probably get a negative rep as well.

So it seems that I broke some of his poise by hitting his shield. Is this possible???

If you do any damage through their shield, yes this is possible. It's just very hard to do, and if it happened to them they are stupid as hell.
