New Londo Glitched Path

Hey guys, so I was trying to farm titanite slabs in New Londo, to no avail I might add. When I came across something interesting...

In the small building that has the Darkwraith and a chest in it, at the end of the narrow passage behind the hidden wall. I noticed that the area beneath the narrow passage is filled with water and if you jump in you'll die (obviously lol)

BUT! If you run down that passage towards the Darkwraith and chest and jump off at about a 45 degree angle to the left or right just before you reach the building (I recommend killing the Darkwraith first so he doesn't F up your jump), you can land on a ledge, and survive. When you jump to the ledge it switches the camera to the "top down" view that you get when your character dies from falling too far(Dying without hitting the ground). But the character doesn't actually die. There's a small area you can then explore. But it's very difficult both to see, and to control the character. I was able to walk my character to, and up a staircase that is visible from the narrow passage, and then up to another staircase.. But the second staircase is usually where I fall through the level and die.

I couldn't find any other posts about this, so I thought I would bring it up to see if anyone else had encountered this yet. I'm wondering if it's a glitch or if it's actually some type of secret path.

Sounds like you made it outside the level... Do you think it has the potential to be a shortcut? Get it on video!

to me it sounds more like an area that was going to be part of something but didn't end up getting finished before release

Sounds like a glitch. Can you alter the camera by using/aiming a bow?

I haven't been able to change my camera angle using a bow or binoculars, should also note that I am able to throw down prism stones but they always come up as white. I can't help but feel that sen was correct when they said it might be unfinished content, but I'm really hoping it's something more lol. I'll try to get some pictures or a video of it later tonight. In the meantime, could somebody else see if they can make it to this area, just so I know that it's not a glitch specific to my game scenario?

Wow. Try equiping the covenent of artorias just in case portions of the area are treated like the abyss.

Wearing the Artorias ring doesn't seem to make a difference.. I tried getting some pictures but they're all horrible quality, and are unable to illustrate my point. As for the prism stones, I think them being white before was just a coincidence, they appear in all colours now. I've been through the entire area a few times and I'm pretty sure it's just a glitch and nothing more, I'm going to give up on it for the time being.
