    Well, I can test this out some more later on tonight.

    The invader I had was kind enough to let me wack him with a broken trident +5 and I did only 7 damage, I had my lock on him while he took several swings from the merchant including a heavy attack, and it didn't show any numbers suggesting he was taking damage, when he finally killed me I was hiding behind the merchant, so he swung right through him and struck me down (while I was dancing with my trident!)..

    Again, I am inclined to believe something went wrong on my part and that video is correct. But I will try to test this out more within the next couple of days and report what I see here when I have more information.

    i just had some fun with undead rapport in undead burg.
    notes
    1.hosts can get help from certain enemies against black phantoms(you can kill them even under the spell so be careful)
    2.it doesnt last that long and unless the invader gets close they wont attack.(except the long range enemies)
    3.^^ it is a short lasting spell and getting a whole group of enemies is very difficult since once one is on your side it kills the others around it or gets killed(most i got at a time was 3 against an invader but it didnt last more then 5sec)

    edit: also an invader let me hit him with undead rapport once he saw what i was doing. to my dismay he did not turn into a white phantom....

    Uhm, but did anybody test it on more powerful enemies? Balder kngiths for instance?

    ^^ yes its possible but like i said its hard to get more then say 1 or 2 on your side especially with the faster more powerful enemies.

    Hmm, the rapier balder knights can backstab, right? Just imagine the invader getting backstabbed by a regular mob. Maybe they could be somewhat useful allies. (Until the rapport wears off and they backstab you.)

    Invaders in the burg were actually really cool, they literally just stood there and waited for me to cast undead rapport on goons.

    However, they usually killed them right away anyway.. leaving me with nothing to test on haha.

    ive been trying to think of the best place to do this and i just cant think of a good spot. theres tons of spots but none that are any good. its really too bad lizard men,silver knights, and black knights are not included.

    Undead rapport. Undead dragon. It would be awesome although I highly doubt it. And yeah, the torch hollows would roast all the havels alive.

    It would be great if it had an area of effect so you could turn a group all at once. Otherwise it seems like it's hard to get more than one or two because they all turn on each other.

    Does a rapported undead follow you if you walk away? Or chase aural decoys maybe?

    it won't follow you, it will only aggro if an enemy comes within range, and the undead merchant will return to his starting position after an enemy is killed too. I tried luring him out with the axe undead hiding behind the shelf near him, he got out into the room, then walked back to the balcony. The same thing happened with an undead spearman, I cursed him on the 1st platform , and he walked back to his original starting point above the undead merchant.

    I didn't try alluring skulls on him though.

    Too bad the duration is so short. Does the lingering ring affect it? The wiki seems to be silent about it.

    I have the feeling that with the right strategy it could be a cool diversion.
    For example:
    - you turn human at the Depths bonfire, you get invaded, you just walk silently to the torch-undead (giving you the back) at the bonfire exit and rapport him. Most invaders (me, for example) just run carelessly through mobs because they don't hurt them. Fried invader for dinner, anyone?

    That's a good idea, particularly when invaders try to phase right through them by running against them, lol. Unlikely to get you a kill, but the damage and throwing them off would be totally worth it.
