Upon getting that spell you also have the option to open the Shortcut in Izalith, meaning you don't have to kill the Centipede Demon, or trek through the lava and Dragon Leg infested part of it, easier access from the Daughters of Chaos area rather than the izalith bonfires. So I might suggest keeping her alive.

ya i killed the easy fire boss to get the reaper looking armor. Then when i saw about 8 capra demons i turned around and said another day LOL.
