I think this is probably the case. I've accidentally been summoned by people or summoned the wrong person ,when trying to co-op with friends, and used the crystal to desummon them only to get PSN messages that're like: "WHAT'D YOU DO!?!" People don't read.

Usually if I get sent home by a summoner and its not right after I was summoned, like if we are just walking around and suddenly it says the summoner has sent you home before we go to the boss I PM and ask what for.

The curiousity burns inside me! I have been sent home after some pretty embarassing encounters while playing way later than I should be and getting schooled by mosquitos or pounced by dreglings, but I always use my own humanity to heal myself. I had a friend of mine who I spent about half an hour trying to connect summon me in blight swamp... then disconnect himself when mildred invaded. I called him all sorts of names and refused to help him after that lol.

My point is, I think most people who get BC out deserve to know why. If it was how they were playing or you just have something you need to get to and have to stop playing. I have BC'd out of a few summons, but never sent summons home.

I got summoned to duel a red in the burg. No idea why, the host stood on the tower watching us like gladiators. Then out of nowhere I get sent home by the host. The red messaged me saying that I won that fight, that's why I was sent home.

I am still confused as all hell about this.

Wait.. sent home before you physically killed the red? That is pretty bizarre.. Was the Eye of the Tiger playing in the background? some kind of training lol?

Yeah I got sent home before I could land the last hit. Nice guy though, I'd like to duel him again some time. It was actually one of my first duel victories in a long run of them Hurrah

and now whenever I'm doing laps through the forest I'm gonna play 'Gonna Fly Now'

I always send phantoms home lol. Especially when they have really high level gear and just run ahead 1 shotting everything.

I don't like to send anyone home, usually I die a lot anyway so no need. But when I'm trying to play with a friend and I get summoned by the wrong host or when I have something to do (like.. you know.. going out, eat, sleep..?), I just send him a message before BC out.

I never send phantoms home but if I get summon when trying to co op with a friend and the host is not ny friend ill drop a humanity and bc out. I always feel bad for not helping but that's what the bc is for.
When demon souls came out I thought the bc would send invaders home. After first attempt I realized that was not the case as I stood there taking a sword to the face.

Yesterday I was leaving my sign in anor londo. I was summoned by this guy, he already had another phantom with him. The both phantoms cleared the area from enemies and killed an invader. We where ready for the boss fight, the summoner went to see the blacksmith, do ok, we waited and protected him in case someone invades.
We go again to the boss gate and I was preparing to kill O & S.
The summoner goes all the way up to the bonfire and in the way he bc me out...
I was like ... Hu!!! Why? No matter, I left my sign down again, I get instantly summoned and as I appear, it was the same summoner being BS by an invader... He died... Terribly... And i was like ...

I wish more hosts would do this.

I have a Sungal in blighttown, she uses a +9 Claymore, (level appropriate). Often I'll be summoned and the host has already summoned some OP beast.

Where is the fun? The Quelaag fight should be epic!

I avoided early Co-op for that reason, my first ever summon tanked my armoured boar and ran through the entire level. So I threw my character off a bridge in a location that was easy for me to get to to reclaim my souls, of course. I made it look convincing like it wasn't suicide. But I was pretty dissapointed with that experience and avoided co-op until around sens fortress, not to say I didn't put my soul sign down, i just didn't summon anyone for most of my first play through.

I've had hosts BC me for weird reasons, like I wouldn't drop them gear or an invader actually got close to them or something. If they're that high maintenance I'm usually grateful to be released.

The more troubling for me are people who get summoned and then immediately BC themselves out -- I guess because they're trying to coop with someone specific. I always help whoever summons me even if it wasn't the person I was trying to sync up with. Otherwise you leave the host hanging and exposed for invasions. One time in btown I summoned a sunbro right near the swamp bonfire, and he did a "well what is it" gesture and bc'd out and then moved his sign around the corner. I kept summoning him after the first time just because dude, you are a sunbro, help those who need help. I was cracking up the 4th time he showed up, he ragequit completely as soon as he saw me.

Got summoned by a host in the depths wearing full orenstein's and empty handed . During the gaping dragon he sat back and watched me and another phantom fight the boss. Went up to him and he gave me the Well What is it And then black crystaled me out of the fight.

Lol.Wish I had crystaled out first sorta like "you can't fire me because I quit!"
