Medium Roll?

Does anyone PvP at Medium Roll? If so, what kind of build do you use?

i've always wanted to have to balls to med roll during Practically Vibrating People with a dex build but, man thats scary lol

Yep, it's quite fun. It has invincibility frames like the Fast and DWGR roll, the issue is more so the recovery and movement speed. But still, I invade from time to time in the forest with it and fair well, as well in FC I almost never use it unless Cosplaying Shiva's Guard.

ive got my *** handed to me by some players using medium roll, but its mostly because i got cocky and thought i could just run in and backstab them. the people i do see using it almost always have a heavy tank type build with a BKGA.

I cant wait till we try a no dwgr night for FC. Im curious to finally see what would be a better choice if the dwgr didnt exist, light armor with mobility or heavy armor with heavy protection.
obviously it would still be personal preference but it would be more of an equal choice. cause really how many people choose to medium roll over having the same protection and added mobility you get from dwgr.

So other than brave Sir Tolvo we have no Medium PvP Rollers. This is no doubt due to necessity, but kinda sad.

I was flipping around in with my DWGR and it just felt... foolish. I've tried all sorts of armor/weapon combos that achieve Fast Roll, but they are all so lacking compared to builds with the DWGR.

I was really hoping Medium Roll could work in PvP. It would allow so many more armor/weapon/ring combos.

I didn't start this as an anti-DWGR thread, but it just kinda became that in my mind :|

Yeah, it would be nice if From's new mystery content (or whatever it is) dealt with this issue to some degree. New Super Heavy Armor that forced you into a Medium or Fat Roll build, but made up for it with insane resistances and/or protection from backstabs would be great imho.

My sl 20 burg anti-griefer has medium roll, with a setup like that (Norse Cosplay, Dual Lightning Handaxes, Chaos Bastard Sword, Iron Round shield) you just wait for the cocky griefers to come to you.

Invaded a guy in the tomb and he was doing the medium roll in elite knight armor with the zwei.

I win A LOT of my Tomb Invasions. 95% of which are against ninja flipping tanks and their sunbros. So I assumed I would destroyed fatty and his big slow weapon honestly.

He pounded the crap out of me. Which just goes to show that it is more skill than anything else.

In the forest it is very difficult to medium roll, with three people coming at you the disadvantage is very difficult to work around. But just 1v1, I find it very easy to use. In fact 1v1 I find the DWGR to be a waste of a slot.

I pvp medium roll and do alright. 1v1 i can win but never a 2v1 or up. Most of the time if i come across a flipper i twop just to even the playing field a bit lol

I am working on a toon right now that I plan on having medium roll. He'll be a vitality build wearing tank armor so flipping is just silly in heavy armor. by the way check out his guy's build on youtube I think he has medium roll

I have a sl20 burg/parish anti-grifer as well who sometimes uses med roll. To compensate, I stick to small areas where a DWGR roll is not helpful or even potentially dangerous, such as the bridges or stairs.

Another thing that can help is using a faster weapon. The med roll has acceptable invincibility frames, but the recovery is a problem so I always have trouble if I pair its slow recovery with a slow swing weapon. But something you can use quickly and spool off a bunch of attacks can make a difference.
