Doing extremely well with the Murakumo + 15 and SLB, haven't made it to Anor Londo yet for the DMB, so I have been hosting. I hit like a brick wall. Can't wait to get MLB and try that out, and start invading.

I've tried a lot of different armors and combinations, but I find that I keep getting stunlocked by those using Greatswords, not sure if 53 poise is enough or not.

When I did attempt invading at 95, I found myself in a lot of 2-3 on 1s, And quite a few others who would bow to me, and while I bowed in return they'd run behind me for a Backstab =/ Also ran into a few chain BSers. Would be nice if an immunity to backstabs for however many seconds would be nice to cut back on those, but alas, I doubt anything like that would be implemented.

I'm pretty sure 54 allows you to take one hit from a Greatsword in regards to poise.

I actually have a question based on movesets. I hear this a lot, and don't believe I fully understand.

R1 attacks and R2 attacks. Like the Claymore for instance, R1 single handed attacks are large and sweeping, whereas the R2 is that nice rangy thrust. When Two-handed the R1 attacks are more horizontal, less sweeping, meaning more user error for hitting your opponent. The R2 is a slow sweeping attack, but I think it has less range than the 1 handed R1 sweeps. Are these the moves/combos that are being referred to? The three hit R1 combos, and the 2hit R2 combos? Or is there some hidden moves mixed in, say R2, R1, R2? Or R1 Roll R1 R2?

Your animation doesn't work in a fighting game combo sense, in that Right Right Up Down Punch Punch Kick gives you a different animation than, Left Down Punch Punch Kick. You'll Punch, Punch, then kick all the same if that gets you to understanding it any better, I didn't entirely understand what you meant really.

Nope, that answers it. Thanks again Tolvo. I was confused as to if moveset meant there were hidden animations for weapons or what. Though I guess some attacks will flow more fluidly into others, just a matter of finding out what.

Well see, each weapon has the left and right swing. You swing once, your right to left attack, you swing a second time, your left to right attack. But, if you use say your R2 attack, then R1, you'll get your left to right R1 attack, if that makes any sense.

Yes it does, I actually didn't know that. Thanks a ton Tolvo, I'm gonna have to test this out with different weapons and figure out what i like.

It's a great trick for helping to stop a person from parrying you, I do it all the time with longswords in particular. You do a thrust, then a quick swing rather than the vertical 2nd R2 attack.

Unfortunately Tolvo that method gets screwed by prediction parries I know that i normally keep a fight going on as long as possible so I can see the sort of pattern that people use, many a person has tried the trick on me when i have just hit my RTSR and I have Predict parry then riposted with my chaos rapier/BSS for about 1200+ dmg

Usually if the fight does last long enough I just figure they are getting my pattern and try to rely exclusively on dead angles to reduce the chances of a parry. But every now and then I forget, then of course since they guy noticed my pattern he gets the parry off and bam, one dead Tolvo haha.

It's a great weapon for that, and for some reason everyone I fight never expects that weapon to do it. I remember I scared the crap out of a guy hiding behind a greatshield by doing that once and nuking him with a full stamina bar.

Karn have you ever considered making use of dual weapons? They can be devastating to enemy morale if used correctly. And really since you will have a dominant right hand weapon its just like using a single weapon but without the shield and with the ability to vary your attack direction and speeds.

I've been mainly using just the Murakumo 2handed. I have thought of dualwielding, just not sure what offhand would be. I notice a lot of people using weapons like Spears/Halberds.

I actually like to dual wield with a Rapier in my offhand. You don't have the range of a spear and you can't block, but you can still poke and take advantage of lag, as well you can parry with a rapier.

Any XBL FCs out there? I've got this Char up to level 120, a DM, and just started working on another build that will have less strength.

I'd like to practice using weight below 25% for the fast roll without the DWGR (It's annoying as hell, the ninja flips were cool at first, but I feel it's really not needed.)

Lately I've found that speed is key, be it swing speed or movement speed. The faster you are, the higher your chance of survival. Why take the hit when you can not be there when it comes?

Hitting High poise with those big bulky armors and being able to flip around like a ninja at the same time just seems really not right to me, so I guess it'll be my handicap from this point forward.

xMuninn is my gamertag, so if there are any FCs out there that I could have a good time with, please send me a message =]

You could check this thread out, maybe strike up a conversation about it. I know some have tried but it just seems that not enough people play Dark Souls on the Xbox that are on these forums, but maybe you could try and set it up yourself and spark interest?
