Wierd Backstab Glitch

Glitch at the WORST timing, I might add.
So I'm invading Anor Londo to get Souvenir of Reprisals. I spawn to see two phantoms in the distance. I bow, they bow back, and then the host comes out of nowhere and backstabs me while bowing.
I WOG him, he runs off, I dodge his phantoms to get to him and beat him at the backstab game he's trying to play. When I bs him he didn't receive damage, then I suddenly appeared 20 feet away from him. Me and the host were unable to move or receive damage after that.. Like statues.

After a while the phantoms crystal'd out. I waited and the host disconnected and I was still stuck in his world. Unable to access the menu, I quit the game. And upon reloading my character I instantaneously died IN MY WORLD and now I have to try and get to my bloodstain... WHAT?

Has any one seen stuff like this before or was that a rare glitch that just happened?

in the forest afetr a dragon bow bs my cousin was host and froze with 0 hp but couldn't die and the sov was stuck there. when he quit and reloaded he died on entry...

The part I found the most strange was his Phantoms were still completely capable. Oh, and I died when I was a Spirit of Vengeance. WIIIEEEEEEEEERD

Yest got summoned as red phantom and I felt the host was all glitching... moving in some diff direction and attacking... So I thought of ending his or her misery and cast css on her. Instantly died... Later I get a msg, did you just attack me when I was in a 1v1?

Yeah I told the host what happened...
