    Changes you would make to weapons in DkS

    Scaling, damage whatever it is you would want changed. For me. I would like to see the Demon Greathammer scale S at +15 and Smough's Hamour scale at least A strength. Also, buff the toxin on the GL sword to 10hp a second.

    I would like more things to have unique movesets, not just the R2 attacks but R1 as well.

    Things like painting guardian sword having such slow attacks for it's size is crazy.

    also priscilla's dagger being longer/thinner than most knives should have more stabbing attacks as well as slicing..

    the fact that scaling as well for some weapons makes them useless for no good reason should be addressed too.

    I agree with both of you, I think the scaling on some weapons makes absolutely no sense. It would be awfully nice to have more movesets in general to, it's kind of boring to have the same movesets for most items in the same category even if there is a tweak or two.
    I guess I'd like to see the whole upgrade system get revamped. More variety as far as paths, more balance so that you don't end up seeing the same enchantment every time you pvp or whatever (ex. lightning), and I guess just more variety in general.
    There's a lot they could do, and being that in Dark Souls your weapon is basically a good 75% of you, there's more than enough reason to give more into it.

    Scaling and more useful boss weapons. In general, more weapons should be viable in both PvE and PvP. Builds centered around boss weapons should be cool like in DeS, most are pretty useless at this point.

    oh and I demand UNIQUE upgrade paths, changing weapons into a different thing entirely, rather than a catch-all lightning "_____" or Chaos "____" weapons categories..

    I mean they can be just for types of weapon, so katanas etc change into other weapons based on that, so chaos changes the look of the weapon/ability/moves of the weapon itself, not just power

    aiming for crossbow. like the kneeling posture crossbow mobs use, sniper crossbow would then be awesome! ad i like the idea that upgrades alter a weapons appearance, crystal would look cool... chaos would be spiky or twisted, lightning should be remenicent of anor londo or the giants weapons, magic would be blueish or sparkly big grin

    Also, weapon upgrades like hidden weapon or cast light. And arrows that have the aural decoy effect. Not all weapon upgrades need to be offensive.

    dark moon bow special;triple shot, quelaag sword special 2h r2 fires off a flame wave, chaos blade special, 900 bleed, better scaling for golem axe, faster activation for shoryuken, moon spear 2h r2 is that needle shot the butterfly does, crystal ring if buffed up again (not to its old op self but...) better base dmg for ornsteins spear better scaling for smoughs, life hunt scythe has special that temporarily gives you the old fog ring effect (no target) darkmoon catalyst can cast miracles and spells... and the stuff you get from sif is fine as is... maybe toss in a unique slashing move... gwyns sword, 2h r2 = gwyns divebomb attack.

    At the moment, some weapons are uselesss, and some are awesome, which seriously reduces variability in pvp. You can go an entire night seeing only kats, bkgas, and claymores. Wouldn't it be nice if people were also using hammers, war picks, one-handed axes, claws, polearms, etc. But all of these weapons have either crap scaling or absurd movesets. Speaking of absurd movesets, is there anyone in the universe who thinks that the Chaos sword's awful moveset is viable, particularly given the fact that you can't buff it? It's R2 has an almost 2 second warm up!

    @ serious just use resin, does that have a special effect on his sword btw?

    @strangejoy thats why that sword should have a nice advantage like the highest bleed in game and that move should inflict almost instant bleed.

    I use the Chaos Blade, i think it's pretty cool weapon (not that great though lol) but i don't use the R2 attack

    and can you use resin on gwyn's sword? It's a boss weapon after all..

    I'd like duel wielding to have an advantage in the game. Also better criticals for daggers, and better scaling for everything.

    Like everyone said, better boss weapons would be wonderful. As it is they seem to be more for novelty than anything else. Some have distinct advantages. Like the DSS has the best reach in the game (to my knowledge). The fury sword is great at low levels, and out does most of the smaller chaos weapons (darksword, katana, shortswords ect) by a signifigant amount w/ 10 humanity. I see the butterfly horn a lot, I don't use int at all so I don't know.

    Make some of the bigger weapons lower your poise when swinging them.... Also make spinting and rolling lower it too.

    Make fist weapons not totally useless!

    And remove the ability to backstab from huge weapons. It's absolutely freaking ridiculous that such slow weapons with such long wind-up times have the ability to perform a "grab-attack" backstab just because they were behind you for a split-second when they pressed R1 (or never behind you at all, but used lock-on and lag... but that's another discussion).

    @BLA1N I don't think they should remove big weapon backstabs, but lower their critical rate significantly. Like they get an additional < 50% damage, not 100%.

    For the rest, boost boss weapon scaling, set Gwyn's sword on fire, and change BKGA's moveset to mimic the greatclub's, that should pretty much fix most problems.

    And please lower the requiremets on Havel's shield and the Grant to 40 strength. Not to mention Smough's hammer, 58 for a subpar at best weapon is just insane. e_e

    i definatly agree with the black knight great axe switching to great club moveset. but then again, maybe it'd make it completely useless. so not sure.
