Is anyone else loving 3v1's now?

I used to hate them so much (like a lot of pvp aspects of the game) but I'm starting to invade hoping my opponent has a phantom or two with them. It makes it so much more fun.


I'm wondering am I late to the party or just weird? haha.


Any good 3v1 stories?

You'll find many stories in there, it is practically a covenant built around killing the farming scum in the forest after all.

Should have figured forest hunters would, I'd be one if they could invade anywhere hahahaha. I'm currently Darkwraith and once again loving it.

It was a madfest, SoV after DW after SoV, almost non stop, went from the starting 3 Eyes of Death to 13, and hit 22 humanity from 10.

It was probably the most fun I've ever had playing this game.

It does somewhat help in killing them to know an area well, I can't count how many laps of the forest I've done while merely offline to learn every nook and cranny. I'm planning on going about as a Darkmoon soon, so I'll probably soon be doing hundreds of laps of Anor Londo a day, for some reason I'm typically not a Dark Wraith. I guess it's because I don't like it when my character is human, I actually like the look more of hollow characters. Funny enough the PW is actually where I've seen the worst farmers, as a DW.

And yes, Gravelording is great fun, I guess that is one of the appeals to me is it just clicks with my hunter instinct. Sometimes I sit there hoping and thinking, "Come on, don't line up and duel. Let me kill all of you." And then they drop Eyes of Death, bow, and wait their turns to duel. It's kind of sad that sometimes I find myself longing for a gang bang, so that I can destroy it. Although I will say I'm quite happy to see the community in such a way when people are not simply going 3v1 against a single gravelord.

If I had the time to dedicate to farming humanity I'd definitely be a gravelord.

I've found staying at a lower level keeps the farmers away. The worst places to invade are anor londo, painted world and the kiln if you don't like farmers. I tend to stick to area's like the depths, demon ruins and tog.

Sadly, there are some in New Londo, and actually the Dukes is a common place for them. I've even noticed groups setting up only around the time of the PSN Fight Club, oddly enough. I've checked with these groups at other times of the day invading, and nothing. Yet at the FC typical time, they sit around summoning duellists. A dark sign if you ask me, meaning it looks like I might have to punish some people while others are enjoying their duels. I might actually not say I enjoy fighting three enemies at once more fun, rather I'm just so accustomed to it. It's like a soldier coming back from World War 2, he's so used to fighting he wants to do it more. But does he really want there to be a new Nazi Regime to go up against? He'd rather just retire and spend time with his family, but he can't help but wish to spill their blood again.

I love it, and I love the hunt. Sure, 3v1's can be really unfair but the win is just so much sweeter. I love making people panic as I set traps or follow them through the level.

See, I want to love duelling. I want to get more experienced at duelling, but I just feel I still have a duty. I can get a rush from the kills, some enjoyment out of it, but at the end of the day me killing them almost seems like a job that I have to do...Because no one else can.

Duels to me are boring. When someone wants to duel when I invade I just shrug and run off hoping they don't disconnect. I

I'm the opposite. I love duelling. What I don't love about 3v1 is the BS spam the phantoms to. Maybe I'm too used to duelling and can't manipulate the phantoms. But, I prefer a fair 1 on 1 instead of being BS by phantoms while the host constantly heals them.

To each their own.

lol i like both duling and 3v1 for duling i use a more layed back approach in 3v1 i tend 2 bs the phantoms to death and then troll the host as much as i can in duals i use a lot of different strategys and tend to finish em too fast

Put dragon sign while Human at Kiln. Message shows up: Invading world as dark spirit (note if you are a dragon it says: invading world as dragon spirit)

Anyway I spawn, host is far far away shooting dragonslayer arrows, I dodge when the first phantom shows up using the Golem's axe wind special attack, I was trying to dodge the arrows and the wind at the same time, when the third phantom came up and spam WoG. I had no other option but block all 3 attacks, when my stamina was depleted, the WoG phantom switch to a claymore, so I managed to two hand my greatscythe and kill him, but then the Golem's axe phantom switch to a talisman and guess what? More 6 WoG to finish me. I was already dead and the host was still shooting arrows

Love 3 on 1s.

I don't even engage the group until I've managed to hit the host with a Lloyds usually, (if it can be helped), and nothing takes out a phantom or two quite like Fire Tempest in a small room.

It is a fun aspect of the game. Just one of the many reasons why it is the best game ever. Duels. 2 and 3 on 1s. Co-op. So many reasons....

As a Gravelord you invasion counter is always at zero so DW can invade like a nobodys buisness and as such getting humanity is easy (unless of course you meant the usable item humanity in which case being a really frugal Gravelord and using resources well can make up for having little humanity).

As a Gravelord I experience more 3v1s than I did as a DM (for some reason only two people seems to hang out in the painted world) and the results are sheer chaos. Two SoV's and a DW make them very entertaining three way fights.

Sounds a lot like being a forest hunter, I'd have fights with two hunters, a dw and a host, or as a dw I'd face two hunters and a host. The dynamics can be very entertaining.

Yeah I gave forest hunting a brief stint however from playing as both sides I hated how campers would trash you without mercy and then act all superior about it and I hated that effect it had on forst hunters who would mercilessly kill anything that moved when one or two other phantoms showed up in retaliation for such events.

But hell it was great fun while I was one of them I loved my Jack build. He had no fancy tricks like magic, miracles, pyros, or shields just a simple set of katanas and a really long spear.
