Noxus the tomb lord Empty Noxus the tomb lord

Post by Gravelord hunter Mon Mar 26, 2012 8:31 am

When Nito first "died" ascending to his position as the first great lord, he sought out solitude away from the enemies and darkwraiths who wanted nothing more than to take the eternal lord soul which had given him his strength and eternal life. The putrid essence of death that loured over him made all fear and despise the great lord. Planning to release chaos onto those who despised him, Nito went to release the giants from their imprisonment. Removing the boulders that once sealed the catacombs and the home of the all mighty giants, Nito quickly realized that during the years that the giants had been sealed away, their minds became tormented and many went hollow scratching and clawing at the boulders that imprisoned them. While others finding no way to release their pent up rage, fought with each other, one of these titans was Noxus. Once the leader of his people Noxus lead his giant army against Allfather lloyd, but the Allfather was too strong sealing the giants to a life of eternal darkness in the catacombs. Years passed as Noxus witness the destruction of his army, he could take no more so Noxus sealed himself deep within the catacombs awaiting the day when he is released and able to seek revenge on the Lords who had once imprisoned his army. When Nito entered the Tomb of Noxus he sensed the hatred Noxus had for the Lords but he also sensed the power Noxus possessed, however years of being trapped in eternal darkness had rendered Noxus frail and weak, Nito offered him a proposition, he would return Noxus to his former glory and promised him the throne of lordran. On one condition, until the fires subsided Noxus would be his servant and protect his tomb from any and all invaders. Noxus could not pass up such an opportunity, he agreed becoming the first gravelord servant. With his powers and strength restored Noxus held his side of the bargain resurrecting his fallen army to guard Nito deep within the giants tomb. However Noxus had other plans, he left the catacombs and with hatred in his heart went after the last of the Allfathers, Lord Gwyn seaking to put out the fire himself and take his rightful place as the ruler of lordran and plung the world into despair and eternal darkness.

    Vereor Nox: Fear the dark.

Thats my characters lore big grin whatchu guys think? badass enough? Also incase you ever wondered that 2nd sarcophagus next to Nito was the sarcophagus that Noxus rested in awaiting his release. And the 4 rocks outside the catacombs were the rocks that were used to block the entrance

This seems like it would be a cool thing to start. Maybe we could get a dedicated sticky thread.
The only problem I see with your chars lore is that you don't finish in the asylum and you maybe gave your char a bit too powerful of a beginning.

Once there was this backstab fisher......lol

I always thought of myself like Roland Deschain from The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. In it to save the worlds but having to live through the sacrifice of everyone and everything he loves, ultimately to succeed in his quest. Unknowing that finishing his quest merely starting again with, perhaps, the tool to get it right this time.

If anyone else had written that ending I doubt I would have liked it but after all seven books it seems like the only ending that could have happened. Both souls games are similar to me in that regard. I don't want them to end so there can't be a definitive ending. That would only ruin the magic for me

Post by ViralEnsign_ Wed Mar 28, 2012 5:03 am

The name of my Gravelord is Siefer the Mad, or Siefer Locke as he chose to be known as amongst men.

Since the Age of Fire Siefer's souls was alway one of chaos and instability making him a threat to the Lords who promptly ended his life and sealed his soul away in the deep places of Lordran for its essence was intoxicating to mortals who hungered for it. Thus Siefer's souls fell into a pitiful state gnawing at itself to gain sustenance and preserve its being. Over time Siefer found himself aware of being and for hundreds of years waited in the dark pleading with the gods, berating the gods, tearing his own soul apart in anger and sorrow, until one day, when the cinders of the first flame began to die out, he siezed his chance and through his centuries of wallowing in pity and madness he found his way into the hands of a mortal.

Over time Siefer corrupted the mans very being and cast aside his sanity amalgamating his own soul with that of the mans creating an abomination in his place.

For years Siefer's soul would pass through the hands of many each having struck him down in combat, murder through poison, death by his own insanity. Until the day Siefer came closest to his final death where upon his soul was found by a cleric.

\The paladin, a holy warrior, from other lands saw Siefer's soul for what it was and refused to give in to his whisperings and took the soul once again to the deep and dark places of Lordran, passing ever deeper into the bowels of the earth where the dead did not sleep so soundly.

During the long trek Siefer warred with the Clerics soul for dominance however was always cast back by the Paladins unyielding faith. Weakened by the clerics holy trinkets, especially his mighty hammer, Siefer's madness reached a fevered pitch at which point he use scraps of his own soul once again to fuel his unholy vigour eventually taking over the holy warriors minds, bending it to his will.

In a final attempt to destroy Siefer the Paladin cast himself into a deep abyss scattering Siefer's soul into fragments but mortally wounding himself in the process. Siefer spent many more decades in the cave each fragment achieveing its own kind of madness until he became aware of a mighty soul in the cave, the tomb.

Eagerly he reached out, touching the mighty soul, feeling nothing but death and the void. In it he embraced the madness and was given the choice to serve or to fall into limbo. In fear for his life Siefer once again embrace the madness and swore and oath to the Gravelord who in recognition of his potential constructed Siefer a body from the remains of the dead. Into Siefer poured the fevered desires of the occultists, the unyielding faith of the cleric, the cries of Siefers victims.

Finally Siefer stood in the chamber clad in his new form and beheld the vast Gravelord who commanded him to seek out the essence of death and spread a great plague upon the very gods themselves.

When Nito offered Siefer power and incarnation as a whole soul once again. Siefer declined stating in a momment of pure lucidity that when the Gravelord stood triumphant Siefer would have unleashed the full extent of his tormented soul over all the world and would finally be able to rest with the dead.

Pleased Nito accepted the pact with a piercing shriek penetrating every corner of Lordran and bringing with it a wave of death and madness, one which signaled the approach of his Herald of Sanity.

    -----------

Sorry for the long post. I had time to get some story out of me. Given a few hours I could probably turn that into a serious few chapters. This was a lot of fun and since randomly writing this bio on the spur on the momment you have gifted me with new reason to play as a Gravelord again. Thanks man. +1 for the awesome thread.

On a seperate note your bio is pretty awesome. We had a thread a whole back about character bios but no one really puts that much effort into them. Bios and lore are my favourite parts of anything and creating your own unique figures and such really is an enjoyable pass time. Make more Bio for Noxus I want to hear more about him.

Nice I'm sure Siefer will one day betray you due to his instability and his perchance for stabbing things. When that day comes please put him down for good.

Noxus the tomb lord Empty Re: Noxus the tomb lord

Post by Gravelord hunter Wed Mar 28, 2012 11:40 am

Continuation.... For the first time in centuries Noxus was free from the catacombs which had once help him prisoner. His eyes slowly adjusted to the sun which he had not seen for so long, his now pale skin burned when exposed to the suns rays for the first time, he screamed in agony but he would never let this stop him Noxus was determined driven by his hate. He knew their was only one way to find the last Allfather, the Primordial Serpents were often sought out for their knowledge of past times. Noxus knew exactly where to start, he knew of a Primordial Serpent which rested his mind within the pools in firelink shrine. This would be his first stop slamming the water floor yelling "you slimy Invertebrate". Sure enough the floor doors swung open pushing Noxus aside and up rose the head of a Primordial Serpent named Frampt, Noxus knew him from the great wars but all he knew was the cowardice that Serpents like Frampt had shown while the Allfather and the other Lords vanquished all the dragons and sealed away Noxus' brethren. "tell me where the king is" Noxus Roared, Frampt told him that the king had been sealed away and that only the witch of the Undead asylum knows how to open it. Noxus knew of this witch once a powerful sorceress her mind had been twisted and corrupted by influence of Fire. He knew the way to the Undead Asylum It would be a long dangerous journey but that which he sought out for so many years was just within reach. He knew it wouldn't be long before he could end Gwyns reign plunge the world into darkness, and once again lead an army of Titans against his enemies, ruling in his rightful place as the King of Lordran. When he arrived at the Undead asylum he knew things were different what was once a prison for the undead had all but fallen to rubble, he knew something was amiss but he was determined to find the witch pushing open the great doors to the asylum he quickly started to wonder if the witch was truly even here, as he strolled through the main hall he called out for the Witch but to no avail. Suddenly the floor beneath his feet gave way as he fell to the floor underneath awaiting was a demon. Noxus was not unfamiliar with his kind, in fact many demons had stood along side the Giants agains the Allfathers but once Noxus' army had subsided the demons had no choice but to become the Allfathers prison guards and meat shields. Noxus with no room for fear in his heart stood up starring at the demon who had once stood by his side.
    "Where is the Witch?"
"You seek the Witch of Izaith? You have come to the wrong place my old companion, these halls no longer house any living beings"
"Izalith?! but the snake told me she was here! Show me where she is"
"I'm afraid that is impossible, you see the Primordial Serpents bow to Gwyn you have been misslead. Infact to unseal the doors which hold Gwyn you must kill that which you have vowed to protect. Unfortunately you have no chance of ever leaving this prison"

Noxus had known this feeling before, many years ago he was once betrayed by a fellow giant who was after the powerful Lord weapons, misguiding Noxus into the Catacombs with promise of great power, where he he was imprisoned for centuries. Once again Noxus' rage boiled their was no chance that he could defeat this demon he had grown too strong and too powerful once swift swing of his tail and Noxus was thrown against the adjacent wall. When he awoke he found himself in familiar circumstances locked inside a cell all he could hear were the shrieks and cries of other undeads waiting to be destroyed by The Asylum Demon who guarded these Halls. For now Noxus quest for revenge would have to be momentarily halted until he could find a way out of his prison and seek revenge on not only the Allfather but all the demons who blindly bowed to him and to the Snake who had misguided him. Noxus' rage was stronger than ever and if he ever was able to go free their would be hell to pay and the world would plunge into chaos.

Boom done, tell me what you guys think of it. Also to answer previous questions asked by Flaming Harlequin, he didn't seal himself away infact Gwyn sealed him away using the 4 boulders found inside the graveyard at firelink shrine, see if you can find them they have claw marks all up and down. Also as this last passage reveals he was tricked by a fellow giant who only seeked the weapons of the lords, see if you can figure out who that is (shouldn't be hard). Anyways please leave your comments and opinions and post your own bios so I can read them. Thanks for reading big grin

I tried writing a story once and I'll leave you with this.......even if the reader feels like it's too much reading, the story still was only ever for the author really. I like to think someone would have enjoyed what I wrote (even though it was never finished) but in reality all that mattered was that I liked it.

    Also, I like your story.

Ok here goes. Big reveal at the end so no peeking.

My avatar is a photograph I took while exploring some more abstract concepts with pictures. The blur effect is the result of having a long term exposure and deliberately moving the camera. In this case I think I used 3-5 seconds of exposure.

The red glow is a result of embedding led lights in the eye sockets.

Since I have owned this it has gone between holding candy and cigars.

Here's the origin so far as I know. When I was in college I used to work at the library reference desk part time. My roommate worked in the special materials department. My job is only referenced because our common employer often led to conversations about the library.

One day the two of us and the rest of our suite were drinking fairly heavily. We did attend a state school after all. My roommate says something like "We're getting all new stuff for our biology materials because the ones we have are used so much they're getting pretty beat up." First words out of my mouth: "See if they'll let you have a skull."

Barely remembering this conversation I was surprised a couple of days later when he walked back from work and handed me a small cardboard box with foam peanuts. The outside was labeled in sharpie with the word "skull." I assume he's pulling my leg until I opened it all the way and saw the subject of that picture.

    Spoiler:

I may have miss understood this but are you saying thats a real skull? Also originally i payed very little mind to what your picture actually looked like but after hearing the back story it really shed some light on it and made me take interest in it (which is what I aim to do with my bios) and i must say that red lighting effect looks really cool and is really well done.

Also to those who have read the stories ive posted I just wanted to know from armor you've seen in the game how did you picture Noxus to look?
