Howd I miss that post lol. Well Viral was meant to be doing a DLC version of this in the PC section, which I would build on when the DLC comes out but I think that died. But yeah, hopefully the DLC will get me interested enough to expand this.
Nothing on beatrice sorry, I stopped this a long time ago and all I have is what in the first 2 posts. I've forgotten most of the lore lol.

I also have theories about each and every one of the Four Knights.

    Ciaran-

    Spoiler:
Perhaps respected by or craving respect by Artorias. Though from the mod where it removes the helm of the NPC's we can see Ciaran has a shaved head. I suggest the porcelain mask is a wat for Ciaran to show her service while also attempting to look pretty...perhaps for a certain knight.

    Artorias-

    Spoiler:
Arty is a total fool. his lust for glory caused him to drag his friends and allies into the Abyss/ Oolacile. Oonly when he was entirely consumed by the humanity sprites, non humans not being able to combat the very essence of humanity, he used the last of his greatshields power, only after understanding that his comerades were all the he had, to save Sif, though his power only allowed him to protect Sif only from the sprite from which he was unable to escape.
    Gough-

    Spoiler:
Gough is not blind like we assume. The eyes t his armour were filled in with tree resin by those unable to accept that Gough was not more than a dumb brute. I would assume that he is extremely wise, retired from dragon hunting due to thier being not true Dragons left save Kalameet.

By the way these are all incomplete ones. I have full evidence else where!

Ok, here's all I know about the Rouge Witch Beatrice. Contains speculation and some spoilers.

    Rogue Witch Beatrice:
She is a mage who didn't study in the Vinhelm Dragon school, so she learned all her sorceries from her elders, and even inherited their Catalyst. Which is odd, considering she knows the spells Soul Spear and Homing Soul Mass, which was made by Seeker Logan. She also was one of three who braves the Abyss, the other two being You and Artorias. In one of the pictures she was in, she was seen casting Dark Magic, and is summoned in Darkwood Garden, which is Oolacile in the present era and New Londo. Also, since she is in Lordran, she probably is an undead. I'm assuming that she went through the Chasm of the Abyss first. But unlike you or Artorias, she didn't need a Covenant with the beasts of the Abyss. So either she learned herself how to Abysswalk or her elders taught her (which is unlikely, unless they were all in Lordran at one point). Perhaps she was the one who developed the Dark Sorceries, to fight the Four Kings with, even though she lost and perished.

Does anyone know how to add a title to your spoilers like you do with Oscar, Tarkus etc?

Hey guys, just reading through the thread (It's a long one, isn't it?) and I thought I'd give some input before I forget. I haven't read the whole thing yet, so forgive me if I make some points that get made later.

First, I think sometimes we're getting too hung up on game mechanics as lore mechanics. I'm not entirely sure fog gates are something that actually exist in the "real world," but are just purely for game play. I don't think people like Oscar would actually see fog gates the way we, as players, do.

Secondly, regarding the Elite Knight armor found in Darkroot Garden, we may be reading the item description wrong. It could be the case that, rather than the armor indicating personal possession by Oscar, it may be just an indication of similarity; as in, "Hey! This armor looks a lot like the armor that dude in the Asylum was wearing!" It may just be poorly translated of intentionally vague, but that would make since to me. Oscar dies in the Undead Asylum, there's a set in Darkroot, that was owned by a different knight but looks similar, and then there is the set Ricard is wearing as well.

Just my own two cents for the time being, I'm a big fan of the thread.

Hey guys, again, just another quick idea as I'm reading (I tend to take this in spurts).

There's a lot of discussion of Domnhall being related to Seath somehow, primarily because of the crystal weapons, and the unique warrior you find right before you fight Seath for the first time.

As I'm writing this, I feel like someone may have said this already, but someone mentioned that Domnhall might be a war profiteer, or at least a regular old profiteer. What if that warrior in the Duke's Archives was a partner in crime? He and Domnhall snuck in to try and steal some crystal weapons (because why not?) but they got caught. Domnhall escaped, but the other didn't. Presumably, he was subjected to some sort of magic, which is why he looks the way he does. Seath might keep him as a warning to other intruders. There is a lot in there worth stealing, after all.

Another idea that I just had as I was writing this up: perhaps the Channeler that we see in the depths was tracking down Domnhall. That might also explain why Domnhall is in the depths in the first place. That's about as far away as you can go without going into some really dangerous areas (anything further "down" would be blighttown or the demon ruins). As an added note, the door is locked, and Domnhall probably wouldn't be able to kill the Dragon, so he's kind of stuck there.

Domnhall moves to Firelink when you kill the Gaping Dragon. Part of that fight necessitates killing the Channeler (either before or during). With the Channeler dead, Domnhall doesn't have to worry about being pursued anymore, or as much, so he comes back up. However, he still stays fairly removed from the rest of the NPCs. He may fear Seath's influence, so he's unwilling to move about too openly regardless.

*Edit: I've been playing through Duke's archives just recently, and I noticed that you pick up the crystaline set in there, indicating that there was a second crystal warrior like the one guarding Seath. Following my previous logic, maybe they tried to steal Seath's crystal. It would make sense for Seath to pursue Domnhall so viciously if that was the case.

Again, sorry for multiple posts, and sorry if this has already been discussed.

I wanted to post this anyway, and reading the stuff in the OP seemed to support this possibility (sorry if this is a repeat, I've not read 57 pages yet!)

    Crossbread Pricilla:
I wondered if Pricilla's mother might be the Pygmy. Lots of ancient cultures - think pre Greek/Egyptian - have a matriarchal progenitor figure, so it might be possible that the Pygmy is actually female. The pygmy could have potentially seduced Seth, convincing him to side with the gods, as a step towards the age of humans, which would perhaps have been missed by Gwyn etc, and potentially Pricilla could have been the original intended vessel for the dark soul, hence being feared by the gods and imprisoned in the painting
