Build advice please!

I'm on ng+ currently getting owned over and over and over again by four kings, beating them now so I can join DW.


My one and only character:

level 115

vit 40
att 19
end 40
str 24
dex 40
res 12
int 15
fth 8

planning to go up either to 120 or 125... dependent on advice. I've started to use GMW on my +15 uchitigana, so do I pump 10 points into int so I can use CMW and get the 1.4x rather than 1.1x but be up at 125 (which may hurt pvp??) or stick with GMW for when I wanna use it, and instead just pump 5 into VIT and stick at 120. I plan to finish this run and just pvp, not likely to go onto ng++ quite yet.

Advice please! I'm just screwing around in the forest right now invading as a blue, farming souls while I wait to decide. So I've got around 800k souls waiting to be use. (which is why I'm not going back to four kings yet, as I will undoubtedly lose all of them!)

I'd go 4 into str and use power within and a murakumo. will hurt way more than gmw, esp with your low int. I'd use the extra slots for aural decoy, chamilion, hidden body, or hidden weapon.

Chameleon is heaps of fun. Don't bother with buffing in PvP cuz you'll see every cheap trick in the book. I say get to 45 dex and use pyromancies at highest speed possible.

the trick to buffing is getting good at finding the time. spot them from a distance if possible. buffing during their recovery animation after you bs them works fairly well if your confidant in your ability to stop them bsing you the second they're up. bailing around corners can work too, many tend to expect a wog or firestorm so they hang back a second.

Your Intelligence is too low, I don't think you'll benefit much from CMW with 25 Intelligence.

think going to 45 dex is going to make that much of a difference for speed of casting? I do use quite a bit of pyro, only ever put anything into int for the idea of buffing.

also wondering whether to max out at 120 for best possible pvp or if going up to 125 really matters.

The difference is in the matter of a few frames, so its there, but not significant. More dex, however, also gives you more damage on dex weapons. I'd stay at 120 or even stay where you are now, for the sake of invading hosts with slightly lower sl. The japanese standard is sl 100-110.

I say put them on Vitality up to SL 120.

I'd say go get a +10 fire Uchi for 4 kings instead of buffing a +15. I believe they are weak to fire which should benefit you more than the scaling + buff (500+ base damage). Swap out power within instead and you should be able to rock them.

the only fire weapons I have right now are a +10 fire zwei, but that's probably too slow for 4 kings hey? And a +9 fire morning star. What about quelaag's fury sword?

My 4 kings strategy was as follows

Full havels, mom, rofap, wolf ring

equip hardest hitting weapon i have

tank everything and kill them as fast as possible. admittedly my heaviest hitter was a dmb claymore but it only took the 1 try. (they killed me twice before i tried that way though)

I would try out the zwei at least once... it's only one run. The fury sword might be an option, but I think that scales w/ humanity, which could be dangerous.

With that being said, if you want I have a SL120 mage that would be willing to help you out if you'd like. I just spanked them in NG++ and will be on in about 2 hours for most of the night. Just send me a message.

might take you up on that offer! I'll try a couple more times myself first, probably heading on in the next 30 or so minutes. Are you a sun bro? Otherwise wouldn't I not be able to summon you as a white since you already beat the boss?

I actually got it last night! Went Giants chest and hands with brass leggings, crown of dusk and 16 greater combustions and 32 combustions later and me finally learning that to dodge the swings I had to jump towards them (over them) rather than away from them, I got them. Thanks
