    In Memorandum.

Post by Henkyona on Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:23 am

Well today the **** Xbox cases killed my copy of dark souls.

It now has major cracks around the center ring leading all the way to the foil, so to prevent the disc splintering in my Xbox, I am retiring my copy, it was fun while it lasted.

In loving memory of my copy of DkS

I lost right now same thing happened to my RB3 which I put over $150 into it, by buying dlc.

Had a ps2 since it came out, never once had a disc break, I'm thinking this is a ploy for M$ to make more money.......

Plus I treat my games perfectly, no scratches or anything, then this happens....FML

did you accidentally move the xbox while playing a disc in it?

The xbox generally retaliates by eating and breaking it, it's a rather moody and tetchy beast I must say. silly

It sounds like your xbox is giving up :|

time to shell out for a new one....?

if you dont have money buy some cool games you never had on PS2 and play those, I'm intending to do that when my ebbing attachment to Dark Souls has completely gone

    Well that sucks.
Same thing happened with Halo:Reach with me.
It broke, I bought a new one and then my xbox killed itself because I over played it.

Well, it's well known that Xbox die if you played them too much like Icelfrit said above, but I didn't know of disc breaking.

Anyway once in my PS3, I played A LOT of time Infamous 2, and when I pulled out the disc, it was so hot, that it broke itself when I put it in his box. So be careful with that, I'm pretty sure it can happen on Xbox too.

I blame the Xbox cases, several games of mine have cracked while I was taking them out.

    This is unfortunate indeed sad

However, the optimum plan of action is actually quite simple. Save up some money and buy a new copy of Dark Souls, accompanied by a PS3 and a copy of Demon's Souls winking

A friend of mine on PSN had this happen to him with his copy of Dark Souls. I think the problem lies with the design of the boxes. They should have come up with a better release system by now, so that you don't have to put too much pressure on the centre of the disc when you try to remove it. We've had DVD's from Love Film with cracked centres so this is not just a game disc problem.

My Xbox is fine, it was the cases that made the game snap.

Well I about to give up on MS and xbox, and get a Ps3, thing is I'm poor as **** lmao, so even getting another copy of Dks is out of the question for a long time.

If I ever get enough money for a Ps3, there will be no second guessing, I'll buy one.

Hmm, I think that I should be a little more careful with my disks from now on.

That's why I have a copy for both systems big grin
Now... Honestly... Too bad that happened to you. Before, when there was no install option, my xbox broke 3 copies of Gears of War 1... Played the mp to the dead... I do believe it is the xbox causing that kind of wrecks on the disc from the center out.
I suggest you that if you get another copy, that you install it on your HDD.
    My condolences... Bow
