caestus. or claw for small stamina drain, and scaling/bleed in the claws case. easy to use, rolling attack is nice. other choices include the great scythe for bleed, scaling, dead angling, range and awesome look factor. another choice would be manserpent greatsword for scaling, moveset and stunlock capability, another option is the flamberge for all the same reasons as the msgs except bleed instead of scaling (c dex scale, d str scale)
also a personal favorite would be the silver knight sword cause its pretty much the excalibur of this game and is buffable, also at 40 dex it does the same damage as a maxed out balder side sword (another possible choice!)
these are only opinions however. hope these helped!

Hello! generally it's more beneficial overall to buff a smaller weapon since it will have more overall effect on how much damage you do.
Good 'smaller' weapons I'd recommend would be katanas, Balder sword, Bandit's knife and the dragon tooth.
btw, the Sunlight Blade buff is 100% cooler, just to tell you

i only hate it cause people take advantage of it. anyway, like serious said, its better to get a fast buffed weapon with good reach like the bss. you can use bigger weapons which i love but you have to be careful about attacking cause they leave you open for a bs if youre close to them.

I would say the Balder Side Sword, a.k.a Balder swag Sword. Because of the versatile moveset, reach, not so sure about the stamina drainage (not much i think), Damage is good, even better when buffed.

The falcion is a great weapon. It is the Kilij from DeS. But, first you have to know how you fight. I like to move fast and dodge. I also like to parry and BD. I also like to conserve some end to put the stats elsewhere. So, the Estoc is my favorite right now.

As an actual weapon, I've got to go with the Great Scythe. Good damage, fairly low stamina cost, massive range, and looks pretty sweet to boot.
