Is Backstab damage multipled by elemental damage? Empty Is Backstab damage multipled by elemental damage?

Lets say for example I have a sword that does 200 physical damage only then I backstab a certain enemy and deal X amount of damage. Now I take a sword number 2 that does 200 physical damage and 200 magic damage and backstab the same enemy. Will sword number 2 do X amount of damage + 200? Or is the elemental damage scaled in the backstab?

The total damage of the weapon is multiplied by the critical multiplier.

SO lets say you have a weapon with a crit rate of 100, and it deals 200 physical and 200 magic damage. You ad 100% of each to the damage of the weapon and that is whats dealt (before taking into account resistnaces). So you are now dealing 400physical and 400 magic.

If you have a weapon that deals 100 physical and 100 lightning then during a backstab it deals 200 physical and 200 lightning.

    Makes sense?

Yea I got it. Weapon buffs/enchantments just act as added damage with critical hits don't they? They aren't scaled in the critical hit multiplier.

I believe they scale along with the multiplier. It'd be an easy test to do.

Get a normal weapon, attack, then backstab. The backstab should do ~2x the damage.

Then buff it, attack then backstab. It should still do ~2x the damage. If not then the buff damage is just added. If so then the buff damage scales with criticals.
