    Minigames!

    Hm. I was thinking of making minigames for dark souls. Something like this- Capture the flag!

    The host is the flag while he has 2 guardians. These people will attempt to guard the flag (host) but cannot be in the same building and can only attack the offensive one at a time.

    (Thinking of alternate version where is 1 red and 2 blue vs host and 2 helpers so its a 3v3 capture the flag)

    Any other ideas would be appreciated!

    thats not a minigame its and online game silly

    and I thought this was gonna hark to the kind of awesome minigames that Final fantasy usually have sad

    Thought of another. The darkwraith of the invaded world will put down a select few items around the world. the host must fine them before the darkwraith finds him! Instant loss if the host is found before finding the items. Just some ideas.

    Domination, host and phatoms have to stay away from eachother in a map, invader have to kill them one by one, phantoms can't leave their territories

    Fencing? Standard Rapier +14/15 no shield and.. some form of light armor? I'd pay to see that.

    Jousting-
    Knight Kirk armor with Bonewheel shield and Darkwood Grain ring, the opponents stay at opposite ends of a hall and roll at each other until death.
    (remember seeing this with a part of a build on the wiki, deserves to be mentioned again because its awesome)

    Boxing-
    Host and phantom go 1v1 with equal fist weapons.

    Some people were playing 'protect the host' in demons souls. Couldn't find the video, but it was something like this:

    A naked, unarmed host runs through the level, toward the boss, while the summoned phantoms must clear the path ahead. Running speed of the host is full speed without sprint button held down. The host can't take shortcuts down ledges (must use stairs and ladders) and dodging is not allowed either.
    There are no rules for the phantoms, except for protecting the host by removing any threat ahead.
    Guess the point is to see how far you can get before dying. Could also be fun to try this with some random uninformed phantoms.

    Pummels and Tunnels

    Such Play Styles would include many players. Can be both PvE and PvP

    First Off, The Rules are Simple

    - Shields in both Left and Right Hands of Your Choice
    - All can not use any other way to kill or protect, other than Shields and Rolls
    - People can use Inventory weapons, such as Firebombs, but only such weapons can be used with the Shields
    - Must be within the Tomb of Giants, Anor Londo, or Blighttown
    - Should be in Princess Guard or Gravelord for PvP/PvE Experience

    The Rules are Simple. All Players must survive with shields up, and must battle both enemies, players, and lastly the Bosses with Only Inventory Weapons and Shields. those who survive such battles win. With Tomb of Giants being a Swamp, ToGs being Dark, and Anor Londo being heavy, hevay Poised Weapons, such battles in PvE would be... difficult. As well, Enemies are more commen in Anor Londo, and Blighttown (without Iron Ring) and Tomb of Giants would be hard as hell to compete. However, three people with such weaponry could even the odds. just rememebr that 2Hing a shield and using the heavy Attack allows a 'charged Block', which can be useful at times. As well, all three of the bosses will be instantly harder in such enviromnents (I would put you in new Londo, but that would be asking for your ass to be handed over).

    There is mine. 3 vs 1, with 3 shields and one 'normal' enemy, such games would add a little 'minigame' by itself, as it is a 'game within a game'. Just a thought

    King of the hill

    fight for control over a certain little area. whoever controls has to stop others from taking over. whoever controls at end of time or whoever had longest wins. little tower with archer in uppger burg before boss might work for hill. however many people

    something like that

    Assassination
    The host must unequip all armor and have no weapons, the two phantoms will patrol a perimeter and the Invader, equipped with RoF and Shadow set must sneak by the phantoms and kill the host.

    dragon dodging, dueling on the hellkite bidge with the dragon still alive, "oh **** run for cover" or maybe hide n seek in archives/TotG sending messages to invaders giving them hints.

    How would score keeping work? Or just reporting level completed would be enough?

    It depends... are you going to PvE or PvP... or both. why not include the tally of amount of kills obtained (don't add deaths, it would be too much, heh), and also add the 'time' it took to kill a boss with such a... set-up. It would be interesting. Two Scores for Two Subjects. For PvP, Kills. For PvE, time it took to kill the boss of the area. It would be interesting. If we were to set it up, It could be a 'game' of itself.

    Question:

    The invader is not supposed to engage the patrol right? If the patrol finds the invader he must not engage them or can he? Is this a one shot deal for the invader? no healing? Can the invader use ranged attacks to kill his victim. IE poison arrow.

    this would be cool ah. make the smallest skinniest toon possible LOL

    Anything goes for the invaders weapon of choice, so yes ranged counts. No healing. The Invader can't Start the fight with the Patrol, and can only fight if cornered.

    We would have to try Assassination sometime. Would love to do it. (Hidden body + ringof fog = complte invisibility) try it in a big area such as anor londo (gate opened) or forest (glich here u can rop down to hydra while still being connected). Tomb of giants would be sper fun too big grin I'm excited let's try this!
