Hello, I'm wondering how people feel about this build I've been having fun with recently.
SL 125
Starting Class: Bandit
Vit: 70
End: 40
Str: 50
Dex: 10
(Everything else base)
RH1: Dragon Greatsword
RH2: Dragon King Greataxe (Swap to Great Club+15 sometimes)
LH1: Havel's Greatshield
LH2: Grass Crest Shield
Armor: Full Havel's
Rings: RoFaP, Havel's Ring
Always have repair powder ready for a lull in combat.
It's a very simple build, though pretty fun. Basically, I stand behind my shield, back to the wall to prevent backstabs as I refuse to roll. I like to test my opponent and see what their tactics are.
I almost never play the aggressor. I like to force my opponent to become frustrated, either attempting dead angles or magic spamming. That is when I punish. I love having the grass crest shield for a quick swap as it provides stamina regen when the opponent backs off, but more importantly it can give me a surprise parry when they want to start swinging wildly into my shield.
The most important part of the build is the dragon weapons though. The two-hand R2 attacks have caught countless people in surprise with either a chain shockwave from the greatsword or a killing blow from a quick-swapped DKGA shockwave.
I'm a very patient player and I think it is a must to play like this as even though you cannot be stun-locked unless careless you may still be punished with backstabs without perfect positioning. I will draw fights out as long as I can to get the advantage, most of my duels take 10+ minutes unless chain backstabbed. (Which is a pretty good way to counter something like this)
My friends call me a coward and just annoying to PvP against so I think I'm doing something right. I would like to know what other pvpers think about a tanky build like this.
