bein smart or nooby???

so...thers a lot of players that use whats to me a cheap techniques...most go round in full havels/gaints rollin like ninjas...by cheap technique i mean spell spammin, pivot, lag related technique e.g. laggstabbs or usin things like twopor 2v1/3v1... i dont hate the players as i can win any way but i just want to know what you all think is it being smart by using the most powerful/overpowered things in the game or just bein lazy n nooby??

In my opinion, everybody is different so call me old school but different strokes, different folks. To u, full havels with ninja roll is nooby like but to others, it could be being smart. See what I'm saying?

While I don't like fighting them, or use said "Cheap Tactics", I don't judge them, maybe that's what is fun for them.

BB Glitchers, however are a different story, but I digress, why shouldn't they use the items the game provides?

With the exception of organised events, glitching and spawn ganking, Everything is fair. Its not like anything is unavailable to everyone but you, so do whatever you want. They may not like it or see it as 'fair' but the facts are that they could do it too if they wanted to so you are in no way obligated to handicap yourself to gain the approval of people you will likely never meet.

As far as improving goes, mastery of your weapon/weapons, learning from people better than you, and practice are the keys.

I just get annoyed by flasking, wish they had grasses like in Demons so at the very least the host and invader could use them.

true its smart to use the most powerful thing the game has to offer but to me thats not what im mad about its the fact that 1 armor set blows every set in the game away with at max 2 set that come close to matching it and because of this so many cool looking sets of gear are just tossed in the bb box and forgoten.

I have to agree with this, Havel's wins hands down, no armor even really compares to its poise bonus. They could've at least added better poise for other armors or different bonuses, maybe slight boost in health or stamina regeneration, something like that.

Fully upgraded EKA(Elite Knight Armor) is better than Havels IMO.

EKA is a hell of a lot lighter than Havels, has good poise, and looks more cool to me, wish when I invaded people I'd see some different stuff but oh well.

It depends what you mean by cheap and nooby or smart. It could be smart to wear full giants with mask of child, but since I think it looks atrocious and everyone else does it I find it nooby..

Just find what you're comfortable with doing. I have no problem with lagstabbing and being cheap on an invader when I get randomly invaded on way to boss fight (phantom or not) because they aint welcome, but duels I avoid being cheap except for occasional BS when the fight is very slow.

It's pretty much just what you wanna do and what you define as 'smart' and 'acceptable'

I simply cosplay as I did in Demon's Souls. I'd rather be dressed as a cool character from the game rather than flipping around in a hurp derp mask. It just comes down to preference.

The only thing I find cheap is using gear not available at that point via the BB glitch. It has ruined the first 1/4 - 1/2 of the game online. Other than that the only thing I find nooby is spawn ganking, which luckily I haven't seen too much of as of late.

When I get invaded and I'm question, anything goes. When I'm dwelling, then I don't like lag abuse or Oki bs. That's about it.

Not cheap or nooby....


Smart but boring is how i would describe it.

the thing is i base all my characters on a different well challenge...5 toons my sl 200 dosent use armour that increases hes pois so i run round 1/2 naked with a bag over my face my 150 uses light armour and mostly priscillas daggers its also the toon i did my no bonfire play challenge...my lv 100 is a dragonoid that uses the dragon gs...my lv 70 dosent use spells i also did my no lvin up play on it till i hit ng+ and my lv 30 is a no weapon no armour dragonoid...i do these things as i love drs for the fact its so rewarding and wt i dont get is why players go to forest for some pvp n yes i know some of em farm but its mostly pvp and summon a phantom n the start pivoting or lagstabbin...just a day ago i invaded a dude with 2 phantoms n i ws usin my dragonoid on my sl 200 i killed the 2 phantoms n the host automatically starts spamming usin twop and runnin to were the ss are to summon some1 im like come on you do 1000+damage to me n i do 300... wats the fun n wers the reward if you cant lose...he then turned off hes drs when i killed him...

Why do 'we' play games?... To have fun right? Some people have fun by winning, at any cost. Others like me(& you?) have fun just by playing(winning is nice but not the end of the world if you dont) then there are some people that have fun by beating the game and have no intrest in pvp.
Who are we to tell anyone of the above that the way they play is wrong or cheap? If they are having fun playing this game, then good on them.

yeh but i dont get how 80% of drs can find fun in winning evarysingle pvp special when they pvp use somethin like havels/flip/twof or cheat [modedit: removed racist commentary]

Cheating has nothing to do with country of origin. And unless they explicitly glitch or do something against the terms and conditions they're not cheating.

im not sain all japanese cheat im sain that 99% of player that i have met from japan as in live in japan lagstab/pivot or use lag based techniques

99%? I call shenanigans. I've PvPed with many different people. I have yet to find any region that cheats or glitches like you describe.

Rin, you are generalising far too much, and while yeah I've had japanese players hornet BS me and gank me etc, just as many EU and American people have done the same.

It has nothing to do with covenant/country or anything beyond the variation you find between everyone in the way they enjoy playing the game.
