Choosing armor for dex/int build

40 dex/32 int for CMW

Now I am trying to choose armor. I don't mind using ninja flip ring, but I also want to use RoFP to make up for using a dex scaling build (only investing 40 Vit) so I think other slot could be used for something better (cloranthy, or protection) as opposed to ninja flip. Any advice on which armor to choose? Is poise that important if I am relying mostly on mobility and criticals?


Also, any opinions on what looks the coolest that can achieve my ends?

Poise can be important depending on what you're trying to do with your build. Like if you're PvPing a lot poise is probably more important than if you're focusing more on PvE. My understanding is the more poise you have the more damage you can take without your attacks being interrupted or being stunlocked, although I think a shield with good stability can essentially negate stunlocking anyway (I'm not positive about that though). If you want a build whose fast without using a ring with weight effects, like Havel's or the Dark WGR, the Dingy set can be really good when it's upgraded. I also think the Wanderer set is one of the more underrated lighter sets. A lot of people swear by the Black Leather set also, although I personally don't really like it, but it does upgrade to be a lot stronger than the Ninja set. Combine things and find something you like. My dex build is a combo of the Dingy and Havel's for extra poise. The Elite Knight set is also a good set to combine with lighter stuff for a speed build, as its weight to poise ratio is better than a lot of other stuff. The Dark Wraith and Thorned sets work out to be relatively close to the Elite Knight set also, and I think they both look way cooler.

I have a build similar to yours (I.E. mainly rolling and criticals) and i use a combanation of the crimson armour and the xanthous armour. The crimson armour is pretty good, is light weight, and can be retrieved essentialy from the beggining of the game. The xanthous is a little harder to get, but has great stats and is also considered "light armour." if you dont want to use either of those, than the black leather armour fully upgraded will serve your pourpose well enough. And as regards to poise, if you want to foucus on mainly PvE, then you dont reall need it if you are a good enough dodger. But if you want PvP, poise is much more essential, as many people will just stunlock you outright. Hope that helped!

I forgot about the Xanthous. It upgrades really nicely. For my pure INT build I used a combo of the Xanthous, Big Hat, and Paladin armors. Before I got the last two I used the Xanthous almost exclusively.

I am going pvp at 2 tiers. At 60 and 120. I just need some practice before I comPlete my build. It is my first pvp build, and as such, it sounds like poise is pretty important. Should I be upgrading the elite set? I just don't like the look of it!

Honestly, its up to you it all depends on what you want. Poise isnt the biggest deal in the world, but you might have to deal with some stunlock. really, its whatever you prefer.
