Oh So Very MAD!!
Has anyone else ever got to lvl 120, spent hours collected precious ***. chunks and slabs, gather all the weapons and armor one desires to upgrade and while approaching Andre of Astora to begin this glorious process of upgrading beautiful weapons only to set the controller down and accidently R2 Andre in the face!? NOW I HAVE TO START A WHOLE NG+ and gather up all the embers ARRRHHH.....oh DS I still love you.

I'm sorry, but that is kind of funny.
Extremely unfortunate though.Hopefully you're able to get through without any more annoyances.

Did your R2 kill him? If he just went hostile, just go repent to Oswald and his aggresion will subside.

If you didn't kill him you can go to Oswald of Carim in the bell tower in Undead Parish and absolve your sins. Andre will deaggro.

Re: Oh So Very MAD!!
I'm playing on PS3 and I've noticed that whenever I put my controller down my character has a tendency to lunge forward and attack in a way, funnily enough, that I can't manage when I'm actually holding the darn thing. Is this something to do with the six axis thing and peculiar to the PS3 or does this happen on XBox too?

LOL, sorry to hear the jabba. It happens often, and is really frustrating when it does. At least you'll still have all those chunks you farmed. And, with another run, you can get another slab or two.

Re: Oh So Very MAD!!
if you already managed to ascend any weapons to divine/occult before the accident you can still upgrade them in other blacksmiths. btw this happened to me as well with the giant blacksmith and the mage in firelink shrine... as others said... next time keep in mind that the oswald dude can save your relationship with npc's

This is true - plus the game has the best replay value - I never get bored going back through it. Thanks guys

Lunge forward? As in a jumping attack? If you press forward on the left stick simultaneously with the r2 button, you will do a jumping strong attack, counts as the hardest hitting attack you can do with a regular weapon short of backstabbing or riposting.

Yes, I know what you mean about the controller, and it only had happened to me with the ps3, although haven't anyone yet. Since I noticed that sometimes when you put the controller down the toon makes an R2 attack, if I have to fo it, I make sure that I'm not close to an NPC.

Lol that's why I always turn around after talking to an NPC. At least if I accidentally swing I'll miss him.
Although one time I accidentally hit my talisman by accident. GOOD THING my heal was equipped and not wrath of the gods.

This is precisely what happened with my first character, but then I read on here that I could go to Os and pay off the sin. It's fine now, I've been rehabbing the character.
But believe me, when I put the controller down, I make damn sure I'm at a bonfire, or nowhere near anyone or anything for the reason you posted.

I hit "start" when I have to put the controller down because I am terrified of killing something I don't want or R2 attacking over a ledge.

Thing is, Andre is one of the most entertaining fighters in the game. He basically has a pro wrestling moveset. Screw the smithing, I wish he'd teach me some of that.

Re: Oh So Very MAD!!
It's SOOOO much easier to do on PS3. After a thousand hours of DkS I haven't accidentally R2'd anyone (though I have R1'd a couple... that's a different story), and in the first hour of Demon's Souls I R2'd a blacksmith.SlakeMoth wrote: Is this something to do with the six axis thing and peculiar to the PS3 or does this happen on XBox too?
