    Poise:Armor Ration Empty Poise:Armor Ration

Post by edellenator Fri Mar 16, 2012 7:29 pm

I was trying to choose which armor to take for my PVP Dex/Int build and no one could give me a solid answer as how to balance poise and weight to keep your speed up without having to use DWGR. The Chart is in order of weight. I don't know how to attach the live excel file, so if anyone can instruct me I will do so!

note: these are only armors that give poise. Armor with no poise has an obvious ratio of 0:1

note 2: please let me know if this helps and also if it makes any sense. I didnt see anything like this on the forums.

also, based only on poise (and actually a lot of other stats) Eastern set or the iron and sun set are the best armor sets for staying under 25 (at 100 weight load) for me (since I am Parry Dagger/Bandit) I like the look of eastern so I will probably stick with that. Also, for the tanks out there, havels has the best ratio but not the best stats. Upgraded armors will give the best, but noted elsewhere, the most versatile is smoughs.

Good data, however I want to point out Elite Knight actually has two poise values between different systems, 46 is the other total value and I do not believe the weight changes. A report was sent out, but to my knowledge no reply has been recieved. At this time it is not believed other armors are under this effect.

Between systems, do you mean XB360 and PS3?

Not entirely, there is a thread by Serious_Much which covers most of the systems, an example is US 360 the poise value is higher, but on US PS3 it's lower.

Well, that certainly changes the poise value on that set! It puts it above eastern set, but just but below the iron sun set, though the weight is offset by a few other pieces. Even if it were the case, I would probably still not go with elite, for the mobility without having to use the weight capacity items. I just don't like those rings!

Whknight if im honest the report hasn't been sent yet silly

I've been busy last few days, tomorrow too, but should have it sent by sunday and we'll see hopefully we get a positive response.

Also this list is great, though I'd love for you to have it in order of highest to lowest ratio big grin

Edit: you know what scratch that I might as well compile the data know now get it done so all I have to do is write in the morning

I want to compile the same values as compared to resists:weight, and reductions:weight. Then I can find averages to show the value of each armor by weight class.

Also, I think lists like this should help people decide which armor to use. Im not a min/max type person, but I can at least see that there is absolutely no reason to pick channelers over eastern outside of aesthetic reasons.

I believe the next phrase should read: "Sit down, Please!"

yeah, i knew that some armor reduces stamina recovery. Is that purely by its weight or is that specific to certain types of armor (like I know that black iron set does it significantly)? Thanks for the info, and ENLIGHTEN ME MORE!

edellenator, could you also make a second entry for the Elite knight poise based on it's other possible total of 46? big grin

half the people on the wiki have the 46 version so think would be helpful at least (sorry if it's too much effort, and i'm being over demanding Prostration )
