+15 vs +5 Occult on a Faith Build

So yeah my new Char is a faith build DM. I plan to have a +15 weapon anyway simply for darkmoon buff. However which is better when the buff runs out? Will +15 hold up to the rigours of Drk SOuls combat?

Im currently using a Uchi in my main hand and Iaito in my off hand.

If you have 50 faith, occult is really powerful, so I think your off-hand can be an occult.



Edit: I checked a guide and it says that occult Iaito scales 'B', so I think elemental is better.

Second edit: Painting Guardian Sword has a sweet 'A' on faith and 'D' on Dex, better scaling than a katana, although less base damage and range.

Third edit: Dj Hero is right, you are better off with a claymore. I wish some weapons had an 'S' scaling as occults.

claymore have a A in faith scaling and zeihwander got a B and washing pole is B to

but i dont really know if occult claymore do
more damage than elemental claymore

+15 normal weapon will deal good damage if you have 27 STR (2 Handed) or 40 DEX .
but if u have 50 FAITH occult is best choice

Ah I should have specifiesd that I'm a Dex Faith build. That might change things a bit.

+15 with DMB is good burst when u use it

i have DEX SLB build and DEX CMW
i always use +15 weapon for Back-up
like Balder Side Sword, Falchion and Ricard Rapier

I have a dex/faith hybrid PVP build. I use DMB on a +15 shotel once that runs out I have a backup occult weapon

I haven't tried the falchion in PvP (I imagine its range might be a tad problematic), but for PvE its a great weapon. Like Bito said, 2-handed it's very fast. Also, it's a lot of fun to use. (Just be very careful with forward-R1 attacks, because the kick is replaced by a back-rolling cartwheel attack which can make you fall off cliffs!)

Falchion works in PvP if you mix it up. F+R1 cartwheel followed up with dead angle F+R2 can really mess someone up.

Especially with an Enchanted Falchion +5 and 50 INT! 8)
