    someone tell me how many LEVELS is 10%??

    Its 13, thats how many lvls you can summon up or down.

    You are Soul Level 10
    10 x 0.1 = 1
    1 soul level variance for summoning
    10 + 1 = 11
    10 - 1 = 9
    You can summon anyone who is levels 9-11

    You are Soul Level 50
    50 x 0.1 = 5
    5 soul level variance for summoning
    50 + 5 = 55
    50 - 5 = 45
    You can summon anyone who is levels 45-55

    You are Soul Level 120
    120 x 0.1 = 12
    12 soul level variance for summoning
    120 + 12 = 132
    120 - 12 = 108
    You can summon anyone who is levels 108-132



    Those are just random levels, but hopefully the math conveys the concept happy

    That's not entirely correct though, on my level 10 i've summoned level 20s, and on my 120 i've summoned a 98.

    Yeah there are many factors and i've heard different versions of this.

    I've been summoned by an SL146 at SL123 (sunbro) so there's something we dont know exactly, but 10% is a decent rough guide (to be safe)

    I've found that dark souls co-op range is very similar to this http://www.demonssouls.info/level-range.php i've tested different ranges that it gave and managed to summon each person in each level bracket.

    I thought it was 10 sl up or down and then another 10%.

    Now I'm all confused.

    That makes sense in the 10%, + - 10 equation. The 146 could summon you but not vice versa.

    146 x .10= 14
    14+10= 24 level range to summon (can summon 122-170)

    123 x .10= 12
    12+10= 22 level range to summon (can summon 101-145)

    Yes, it seems to be 10 levels PLUS another percent based on your current level. Post 1.05 patch, it appears to have been expanded to an additional 15%, not 10%.

    The base 10 levels regardless is what makes it fun or horrible in the burg/parish depending on your perspective on things; a sl10 can be summoned or invade just about anybody in there, and even a sl20 can reach all the way down into single digits.

    At higher levels, the builds tend to become more equally matched even though the % factor does grow somewhat.
