why everyone use Silver Knight Shield?

the question is: why a lot of people use Silver Knight Shield to parry and stab in PvP?
i've see a lot of video like this

the best shield for me is the Grass Crest Shield because is good for parry and stab and have a buff.

which is better between Grass Crest Shield and Silver Knight Shield? please give me an answer.

I use the black knight shield instead of silver knight, got it pretty early and upgraded it, love it!

Silver Knight has more stability, and I find myself using it. I don't want to use it but I like high stability and medium shields and I find that the SK shield is great for that, besides pretty mediocre magic/fire/lightning defense.

Grass Crest is good as well.

Neither. The silver knights shield has the best total damage reduction for a mid shield but the grass crest is great for big weapons or aggressive playstyles. My main has 32 end because i use the grass crest, so i dance all over the place because my stamina regenerates really fast. If i were turtleing with a spear i'd want the silver knight shield instead.

SK shield for builds that actually want to block.

Grass Crest for builds that like to two hand bigger weapons.

I prefer black knight shield +5 because it has almost as high stability plus its fire resistance nerfs pyromancies. Had someone hit me with a chaos fireball yesterday and it literally clanged off. Good times

I like the regular old crest shield when I do use a shield. Not the best, but for some reason I'm drawn to it...

Neither.. I don't stick to one shield to be honest but I have to say best shield out of the two is the silver knight (you can't honestly say anyone who uses grass crest shield uses it primarily to block damage )

also you imply grass crest is better to parry, but they both have same parry animation, it makes no difference.

I use both fairly often. Usually I just go with what I think looks coolest with my character at the time.

I use the crest shield on all my builds, max damage reduction, and 80% reduction versus magic I believe, pretty useful against WoG spammers.

Now for PVP, I don't block, and I mostly use my weapons two handed because I suck at parrying, so what's the best shield to use?

Well Grass Crest in that case, but if I were you I'd practice parrying when you invade!

Effigy shield for me.

sks has the really good stability for a medium shield and its better if you wanna turtle or for dex builds since they dont really need the extra regen that the grass crest has. grass shield is a lot better for builds that use big weapons because every hit takes like a third of your stamina.

I use the Silver Knight shield on one of my characters because it fit the look I was going for, but I have used it on anything else. I use the Grass Crest Shield on my two-handing builds, but I can't really say I use it as a shield, just for it's passive buff. In terms of shields that I do actually use though, I'm favorable towards the Sanctus and the Dark Hand. Why? Because they look cool, and as long as they can parry what does it really matter?

I mostly use Grass Crest switching sometimes with Target's for parrying or Crest when it comes to powerful mages/better stability/100% physical resistance.

Depends on the build. My demon ruins darkwraith, a dex build, has two shields equipped. The bloodshield and the crest shield.

My glass cannon of a dragon has the grass crest, since he is swinging giant weapons all the time.

I have honestly never used the sliver knight shield though. Will have to check it out.

Balder shield/Grass crest shield is my choice.

Only when I duel do I use one specific shield, and that is because I always Cos-PvP when I duel. Otherwise I'm constantly switching in menu different shields mid fight to deal with my enemy.

There is no real answer to your question friend. It all depends on the situation and what foes you have to face. SK shield has somewhat good lightning def which is rather rare (apart from efigy) plus a reason for which i suspect many ppl use it is because it is much easier to farm it than the black shield since the silver knights respawn whereas you have to wait till klin to be able to farm the black shield, if you where unlucky with the BK drops prior klin.
