Strength sword suggestions?

Anyone know of any light/normal wieght swords(not heavy) which work nicly with strength?

uhhhh the pickaxe isnt really a sword but its a good str weap. If youve got high str and a respectable amount of dex u can use a C C scaling weapon like Claymore, Darksword, Longsword, Broadsword, Shortsword, Sunlight Straight,

Doesn't exist, all straight swords are C in STR and some are even D or E. I imagine it's just as effective to use them off STR however some of the nicer ones, like Balder and Silver Knight, work more off DEX which also allows excellent attack power on curved swords and katana.

im hoping to try and avoid using any great swords, but thx for the suggestion

i guess go with the longsword then but you probably should make a dex toon since small swords are meant to be used by dex toons, thatts why they scale a lot better with dex.

yeah, hand sized weapons tend to scale with dex, the only class of hand weapon that uses str are the hammers i.e club, warpick, pickaxe (has a b in str at base level!), reinforced club (brutul in chaos upgrade path) mace (also has b scaling at base level and its starting gear for clerics!) im surprised they didn't make a str straight sword though.... like a berenike side sword or something with a b in str and an e in dex...

Is there any weapon you can't backstab with?

no whip, catalyst, pyro hand, talisman, shield or crossbow back stabs, everything else is fair game. seriously why isn't there a str straight sword?

i get what you mean. something like a broadsword you'd expect decent str affects. what they've done(in my opinion) is relative strength to weight(i.e.heavy weps) or to brute force(axes).

For Stength... and Fast? hmmm the only decent one is the Serpent-Man great sword.. and thats it.

Pure Strength builds are pretty much bent on slow weapons.

though to be honest there are only 3 viable weapons for Strength

Serpent Sword (Tier 1)
Demons machette (Tier 2)
Demons Great Axe (Tier 3)

im trying out a basic club build, the a rank scaling is nice! now to boost str to 50 or so for max effect and carry around fire resin.

The Great Club is nice, but only if u spam the Rolling attack as it has An aoe effect. but the range is someone short for how slow it is.



i hate to min and max your play but its just what works.

For strength scaling 1-handers the plain old mace is one of the best. It has an A scaling for strength at +14, fairly light weight, very good durability. As good as it gets for poise breaking on a 1-hander.

If you are going to wear knight style armor, nothing says you are a smiter of evil like a good old mace. Ivanhoe couldn't be wrong... probably the toughest of all the hoes

again basic wooden club starts of with A scaling and nearly reaches S scaling at +15
