    Imagine this...

Jumpers come in and clear the forest of the mage, the theif, the clerick, the knight and the axe guy.

It would be cool for cracked orb users or DW to invade role playing as those Forest Hunters, (even shiva and the ninja) as if they are coming back from the dead as Black Phantoms.

so what do think. It is the forest of the dammed and with gravelords cursing BP Forest Hunters would be cool.

Everyone knows my vote on this - a resounding yes!!!!

Lol that sounds great. I now want to make a PSN ID with the name King Jeremiah for this even just so any farmers who get invaded by me get freaked out.

So far my only ideas were.

"Her words are the Bark, Be the Bite.

    Forest of the Damned.

"Do you think he doesn't see you behind those trees?

    Forest of the Damned.

I think that I will have a back up set or a different toon build to invade as a cracked orb user. I am not sure if I should go for the theif, cleric, the axe wielder.

I can buff their weapons and ugrade their armor and gouge vit. thinking thinking, .

Fog Ring Knights used to terrify me. That might be a great Wraith cosplay in the forest.

I did the Vita/PS3 communication testing last night and had lucky assistance from one of our forum members I added to my friend list awhile back who sent me a message out of the blue. Happy coincidence, we were both in the forest practicing our technique.

The Vita works as expected and the "Party Chat" made life a lot easier to communicate. So for Vita users who haven't explored this or people on the fence who need another reason to buy one here goes.....

    1. For persons in your friend list the Vita works just like the PS3 in that you can select the name (or names, I'll get to that later) and send a message.
    2. You can send a message to ANYONE but only if you have a name. There is no players met list as I expected but a quick look to your PS3 list and bingo....you have a name-o
    3. Notice the "app" is named "Party Chat." You can select multiple people from your list easily using the touchscreen or add their names to the list and send messages to groups very easily
    4. I was worried about missing messages as the "refresh" settings for the Vita are set in 15 minute increments it seems. I did not test real time refresh as there's a simpler answer. After sending a message I put the Vita to sleep and played the darn game. Since I was playing anyway I saw pop ups when a message came in. The Vita wakes up very quickly and loads whatever you were doing. Upon wakey wakey the Vita refreshed the conversation and blam....new message.
    5. Other misc. benefits include: The chat is shown similar to a text or IM dialogue making the conversation easier to follow, the touchscreen has a QWERTY keyboard making typing a little less problematic, even with a keyboard on PS3 it's my understanding that you still need to block your screen while typing (the Vita does everything independently meaning your screen is free to observe Dark Souls and potential threats)

Ok - I have update the recommended locations where GLs should drop their EoDs within the forest and also included a URL to a reference map (DxV04 - great map!!!) to assist our GL brethren with their gravelording duties. I have also included information regarding the use of the Sony Vita (shout-out to Skarekrow13 on this information!!) to send/receive text chats on PSN.

Let me know if anything appears incorrect and I will revise as needed.

Holy crap, this event is getting pretty epic. Just read the glory to alvania thread, and now im over here. Although i suck pretty bad at pvp, I am willing to help the resistance in any way I can. My blade is at your service.

    Mushroom Poster with Farmers

    Poster with Just Mushroom

I made two variations of another one, I think it looks better without the farmers but I figured I should post both and get a bit of feedback.

    Slogan ideas.

    "I want you,

    to kill these farmers.

    Forest of the Damned"

"He's here to punch farmers and chew bubble gum,

Guess which one he's low on?

    Forest of the Damned."

    Any other ideas?

The sun bro is already beaten to a pulp? I had to look twice to figure out who that was.

The mushroom is awesome by the way. I like it better with the farmers but I would try to fix the sun bro.

I would say Be wary of Imminent beating to a pulp. hehe

Yeah, right after I made it I realized how bad it was. He was supposed to have a Mask of the Father, the White Havels, and the Host Black Knight. But he just looks like a spatula, or a yellow Gumbi.

I do like that one, I could always do a throwback with, "Welcome to Die."

I was also considering making a Nito Uncle Sam one if I could manage it.

Like i said, i'll help in any way i can. Heres my suggestions:

    "Farming will not be tolereated

Farmers will be executed on sight

    Forest of the dammed"

"The resistance has begun, brothers and sisters

    Prepare to die."
And thats all i got. Sorry if they're too cheesy, its what came to mind Shrug

I like the silhouettes with the Mushroom. Goes with their "only gonna punch you if you get too close" ideology. I almost used a mushroom phantom for my Gravelord propaganda but decided to use a bonewheel skellie instead. Glad I did because I don't think I would have done the shrooms well. Good work. On a side note it still amazes me how many times they actually land punches on farmers.

Proper Bow is Waaay too common to identify others partaking in the event, I suggest the 'Mercy' gesture you learn from Patches..

In a sense you are correct in that the Proper Bow is a very common gesture but you have to take into consideration players who would like to participate (not saying they still can't since gestures are not mandatory) but have not reached Patches in order to learn his gesture. This is why we choose Proper Bow - most participants will likely have it and it is truly a sign of respect and a kind of "peace be unto you" type thing.

But I do understand your concern about the commonality of the Proper Bow increasing the likelihood of it being used for nefarious purposes. The disclaimer to using gestures is to only do it when you feel it is completely safe. I always have a good amount of separation between me and a potential opponent before I gesture.

What about throwing a prism stone down with 'intent' to send a message, or 'pray'. My problem with proper bows are because everyone i fight uaes that bow, in order to identify allegiance it is very impractical.

Yeah I can kinda see how Pray could be mistaken for the animation for using those miracles - I don't particularly use that one for that specific reason.

We thought about dropping prism stones and it was originally included in the gesture protocol. I don't see a problem with a participant dropping Prism stones though - I have only seen it used in PVP to mark places where phantoms have died. I invaded the forest once and the place was littered with prism stones - the farmers had really dug in - it was kinda weird seeing all those stones everywhere. If you want to use prism stones by all means go right ahead. I just remind everyone do what you feel is best to indicate to human form participant (i.e. GLs) that you are not a threat.Just try not to get killed gesturing.

The idea if I understood correctly was to wave first then proper bow. In that sequence.

Don't know if any gesture will eliminate any friendly fire 100%.
