Alright Grae here with a new topic of the day! Pyros I use them you use them, heck everyone uses them. My question is this, what tips or tricks can you offer to make better use of the pyroness. I know I like the kick to black flame and of course the wake up flame as well. I also use fire whip instead, it can reach someone who's rolled out expecting a combust. Well, whatcha got my friends?

Pyro go boom? I try to stay away from buffs, I like my grass, and not killing myself lol. PUT SOME PANTS ON MAN! the ladies are starting to stare....

Unlocked GC or BF. 99% of people will try to dodge and if they are close enough to you, judge where they're gonna land and hit them there. If you do it locked on you cast the spell and stop in your place and they get to roll out of the way.
That goes for a lot of spells/tactics though. A harder one to pull off for example is an unlocked Crystal Soul Spear. Hit 'em on the exit roll and it's the equivalent to getting drop kicked by Optimus Prime.

You're not trying very hard com buffs if you like grass lol. There's a thread somewhere in here about all three pyro combos, some of them can kill most people in one combo, it's crazy.

I know, I do not like buffs cept my grass, I want to know the tips and tricks of pyros, buffs like CMW DMB SLB GMW MW and PW can take a seat in line to be talked about heheheh.

Normally with pyromancy the best spells are combustion, fire ball, and fire tempest. Combustion pyros aren't that hard to pull off because of how close you have to be to the target, but for fire balls I'd recommending learning how to aim unlocked.
Fire tempest is really only good at sharp turns or if you're using one of the mist pyromancies that you get from Eingyi. It's easy to avoid for a lot of players so you always need to put the enviroment into account when using it.
Also, from what I've been told, flesh sweat works decently against other pyro users.

flash sweat is ok, i use it all the time but its not gonna save you against a pure pyro if they have the crown and bellowing ring. iirc flash sweat only protects you from 25% pyro damage, which kinda bllows, i wish it would be like great magic barrier.

Considering Flash Sweat works on the same basis (practically free magic), in kind of deserves being weak. I mean, quite literally almost everyone can use it.
Anyways, any full-pledged pyromancer must have his Power Within. Nothing better a Great Combustion to the face with this + RTSR. A neat trick you can do with Pyromancy is that, if you have 45 DEX, you can combo Great Combustion from a kick (that is to say, your kick is practically an attack!).
Also, there are some combos with Chaos Fireball where if you land the first hit and stun, you can use a quick attack (Like Great combustion!
) in order to stun them so they get hit with the lava! There is also a variant where you can do it from a distance by performing the Great Scythe's running attack (stunning them), they get hit with the lava and you might be able to combo in another hit with the Great Scythe if they have slow reactions. However, all these combos only work with 45 DEX (as it is required so you can recover out of Chaos Fireball in time).
Basically, try out some tricks with the Chaos variants of Pyromancy, the lava isn't anything special, but it is very effective for comboing due to the added stun they provide.

never ever understimate fire surge. seriously, its fantastic for pressure becuse you get a lot, but if they try to ignore it or block it the damage tracks up really quickly.
gfb+gc+cfw is an instant kill, gcfb+gc is like 1700.
