Keep Wolf Ring handy for menu swapping. You go against a dagger or rapier build without it and you will have some problems.

Use the roar to your advantage. Use a long reach weapon so it's easier to hit after you roar.

    1. Make sure you're in the Dragon covenant and get it to +3.

    2. RoFap + Hornet ring (Menu swap hornet ring to RTSR if low on health)

    3. Lot's of STR or at least enough to wield big weapon.

    4. Get INT to 25 for CMW or FTH to 30 for SLB.

DA Dragon roar. Backstab and watch the hate mail flow. It's funny because we were just talking about this. This is my take on it. I plan on make a Dragon build in the near future.

I'm not expert but chaos fireball and dragon roar go nicely together.

    Hit them with chaos fireball.
Roar stun them so they take more lava dmg.
If you're lucky maybe even get R1 swipe or two on top of it.

It really depends on if you want to use STR or DEX weapons.

As for using the roar, break lock-on and turn around from your enemy this will do a dead angle roar pulling your enemy towards you instead of pushing them away which is helpfull if you use fast dex weapons. The Dragon Form works really well with DEX weapons IMO.

Its a bit hard to use the roar effectively on STR builds, apart from the roar into a BS move but I think thats kind of an overkill, if you are running a STR build then using a Hand Axe as a side weapon would be a good idea since its fast and you can get a few hits in after the roar for massive damage.

Always have Blooming Purple Moss on you, a good player might try to inflict as many status effects on you as they can. Also being +3 Path of the Dragon boosts the range off the roar the, the buff and the flames power.

One of the best combos I had for my SL120 dragon (dex) was two handing the Lifehunt.  After a roar, it had great reach and almost always hit home.  Wear the Cloranthy ring and the GCS for a huge boost to your stamina regen.  Practice timing the roar so it acts as your shield.  Eventually I learned to time it so I could interrupt attacks, and follow up with a solid hit from the LH.  One of my favorite builds.
