waaaaay to much time to set up. also further endorses the use of the dreadful megamule or hacking (or you limit yourself to a fraction of the weapons)

@xenon - it's mainly for fun. No megamule, no hacking. And the idea is to get what weapons and items you can. Then see who wins.

how do you host without megamule or hacking? are you willing to grind up a char that can provide enough weapons and humanity for a few sessions but is empty/useless afterwards? if you need to recollect your stuff after each round the process even gets more tedious. don't get me wrong, it is a good concept in itself, just really hard to execute legitemately and i refuse to participate in breaking the game i love most even more!twigsterxd wrote: No megamule, no hacking. This was copied from pep_pock and Dom. It's called the pits originally. Different rule sets slightly and Dom made an app that randomly selects the weapons. Wish people wouldn't claim this as their Own. And what's wrong with mega mule for PvP? As xenon said, it would be a pointless thing to attempt if you had to grind for all the items. But with mega mule it's an extremely amusing way to PvP especially in large groups.

in the last forum event they gave us weapons, that did 0 crit damage, nevertheless those fights with random (mostly raw+5) weapons where very funny and i rofl while my opponent tried to BS me to death and even a parry and riposte did nothing. Only the normal attacks did some damage (not very much - long fights). Clearly hacked weapons, but hacked in a funny way to do less damage than intended

This "could" be done without resorting to MM or hacking. You would just need souls, which are easy enough to farm. Weapons and gear would be whatever you could purchase from the merchants or smiths. Don't upgrade them and you won't need titanite. As for armor... let each contestant dress how he wishes as long as their poise remains at 0 and is not upgraded.

Lot of souls, low SL (20-35,) many raw weapons, not too many stats invested into Vit, it'd be very doable so long as the host wasn't lazy and had a semi-decent imagination and sense of balance (where to place things.)

So what you are implying is that two different human beings could never in a million years come up with the same or at least similar idea? Looks like quite some effort, it probably takes about 20 Minutes to set this up when using Mega Mule (seriously, why is everyone getting their Panties twisted about this thing?) .
I'd like to do this some time . Anor Londo would also be a good Place for this, lots of rooms and ways to go etc .

But I actually got to watch the video with the commentary afterwards and I see that its not even related to what I was talking about. Looks boring. 15 minute prep for a 3 minute game, and most likely people playing a game that should be called, "Hide 'n' Go Seek". Guerrilla Warfare got lucky as being a fun PvP meta-mini game, it won't work again unless something is very unique.

I don't understand how this would be called Hide 'n' Go Seek. No one is hiding. The only part you're right about is "seeking" for equipment. And i don't think they're trying to storm PvP with an extraordinary game that sweeps the nation. It's not an everyday scenario you start off with nothing in your possession and have to make due with what you find spread across the world. It would be quite funny to see someone find a weapon that is the complete opposite of their build but have no other choice but to attempt to make it work.

It's just something to do other than the boring same ol' PvP type stuff. Who cares if it takes 15 min to set up. It took more then 3 minutes for the people in the video to duke it out. Doing the same stuff over and over all the time is boring and repetitive. That's the main reason I stopped playing the game.
