Stuck at Knight Artorias at G+

Hi all, i am completely stuck against Knight Artorias. First time i was lucky to find a summoning sign and beat him fairly easy, Now on g+ im completely stuck and have been for five days. I have a Melee Character with 61 Strenght 40 Endurance and 56 Vitality 20 in the other stats except Recistance where i got 18. Im using the fully upgraded Paladin set and grass shield for the stamina, my main weapon is the greatlordsword +5 but it does not work well against Artorias. I almost beat him with a crystal halberd but it broke  So i got the Dark Knight Axe to +5 and it seems to work but he is simply too strong! mostly i use the pshyical defense ring or Poise ring but i can't manage to get him past 50% of his health any tips would be appreciated or if you feel like helping me let me know and i'll keep an eye out for your summoning signs. or add me as friend (im  playing pc) Holysword84. I lost about 25 humanities trying to kill him and i seen ONE player summoning sign but of course it didnt work to summon him. PLEASE help me get pass this boss and excuse my poor english

I'm not often playing on PC, but it's been some days I'm contemplating the possibility of doing some runs on PC soon.

If you're interested, add me on GFWL, and try to catch me if/when I'm online.
There could be some issues with your character soul level though. Juging from your description, you seem to be of a relatively high level (around 180?), and I don't go higher than 100-120.

But I think I might have some toons I don't use that much anymore that could level up and help you anyway.

edit : I think I'll try to be online tonight (GMT+2). So we might try if I can catch up with your level

No, Val. Brolaire is not disappointed! You cared enough to want to help...that is what matters!!  

@Holysword84 : I've been online yesterday evening (I added you), but it seems like you weren't there anymore.
I leveled up a SL100 to SL120, still 30-35 SL to go to be able to connect with you.

I need help here too.  I'm SL 110, using moonlight sword +5 or black knight sword +5.  I can take him 50-70% myself but I'd like help.  I'd be welcome to help someone after and leave a summon sign there.  PSN: jamesm11

Im not on pc or in your level range so Im going to help you the only way I can. With a mini-guide:cheers:
Ive beaten artorias on all my account including my sl25 pyromancer with relative ease. Stick to this guide and practice and youll be killing him every time too.

-The only things you should equip are: Grass crest, childs mask, cloranthy ring, dark wood grain ring, and your favourite weapon. If you cant ninja flip while wearing these items trade the dark wood grain for havels ring. wear no armour what so ever.
-Cast power within right before entering.
- Two hand you weapon there is no point in trying to block his attacks.

---The Fight---

-During the fight never stand still. EVER. You should always be strafing in one continuous direction and rolling or flipping out of his attacks right before they hit.
-You should only attack him after his lunging or jump attacks. These can be easily baited by standing for away from him.
-After every hit, roll of flip away from him as he tends to follow attacks up with side wards slashes.
-Dont bother attacking him during his power up stages.Instead take this time to heal yourself to negate power withins effect. Also you are more likely to get knocked back then to stagger him anyways. And if youre good he should only be able to preform 1 or 2 of these anyways making very little difference.
