I need some help

Alright so... I went to go play some dark souls today.. the first time since early June and now I can't load any of my characters because it says that I don't have the dlc content. Well I do have the dlc its right in there with all my other save data.. I can see it so I really don't know what went wrong. Its not in my downloads section from the playstation store either so I really don't know what happened to it.. any ideas?

I need to ask if you did download it. Reason I ask is some versions have the dlc on the cd. If you downloaded it, contact Sony and tell them what is happening. Another question is, are you using a different account? If you're on a different account, you won't see the dlc in your downloads. When you left in june, did anything glitch making you stop playing the game?
Also, you don't need dlc to load your toons unless they are all placed in those areas.

I downloaded if off another account actually, I bought it and everything though. I don't remember anything glitching in june and none of my characters are in the dlc areas at all.. yet it still wont load them. curiously when I turned it on today I got a message saying that I didn't turn it off properly last time I played.. I always remember to turn it off properly because in demons souls I lost everything by tuning off at the wrong time. I was just doin some pvp last time I played.

There's your problem. Another guy in the forum had the same issue. You downloaded it from another account meaning it wasn't YOUR account. You can't do that. Even if you paid the person you downloaded it from. You either have to log back in onto that persons name, or, legally pay for a proper download from psn. Now that's assuming you got it from a friends account.

well I got it from my own account maybe I can just log back in that one and mess around til I can get it on my proper one?

Trying to remember how I got it to work on both my accounts. I think there's something in your settings on psn that enable you to transfer data onto both accounts. I think I had to download it onto both accounts but mine are set up with the same email. So, no matter what I downloaded off psn, it was available on both accounts. If you do own it as you say, contact Sony and do what I did to get my alt. account to work. Go to playstation, choose tech support, and you can actually chat with a techy online. Tell him/her your problem and they can sort for ya. Make sure you do it via pc and not from your ps3.
