Which one would you pick?

Vit/Faith build or Dex/Faith?

What would you choose? I'll do one of these based on your opinions.

Is high vit that important? I was intending to make the Knight Solaire build, this one: http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Knight+Solaire+build

But on second thought, maybe would be fun to have more options for fast weapons with dex and faith scaling...

Please help me decide this!

I'd go with faith/dex, maximum 40 dex & 30 faith, to use sunlight blade and get the most out of your weapons. You could always wear mother mask or ring of favor to up your vitality

I don't have much experience, but I just want to mention that I think those are somewhat "tied together":

faith with str

Faith builds are more ment to tank I think (knight class has good faith and is considered the tank class), also because of the fact you can heal, and also I think you're supposed to fight with greater weapons (e.g. Grant) rather then to fight with dexterity...

dex with int

I read on the wiki that more dexterity increases the spell casting speed, and I feel like this is indeed true, and I feel like sorcerers more tend to be glass cannons (I use to laugh at mage builds, but then I took a Crystal Souls Spear to the face keh heh) and are more supposed to fight with faster weapons...

Also it makes sense in real life: When you have great faith it gives you strenght and endurance, but it does indeed not at all require higher intelligence to have blind faith in something. With intelligence you are going to question things more, also think more about consequences and "fight" cautiously.

I agree. With Dex/Fai you can really dish out the damage which imo negates the advantage vit gives you. Having a large quantity of health is useful but not essential for pvp. Most people tell me 35 vit is enough (i'm not sure how much hp you get) but at 30 you have 1100hp, and with the Ring of FaP you should gain another 220 more for a total of 1330.

Not bad all in all. Especially when you can dish out around 750+ (or there abouts) Per hit with a +15 Great scythe, 40 dex, and a buff.

I'd go with the faith/dex build I have one and love it. It is especially good if you are planning to join DMB

Personally,I'd trade the Vit for the extra Dex. The weapons in that build are crap,and the stat scaling won't amount to much either. At best it's good for dealing with Dreglings. Just take the extra Dex and get something good,so you won't have to retreat to wasting Light Spears.

Dex speeds up miracles as well, plus you have the ever so popular +15 katana + DMB combo. Not saying what you had doesn't make sense, just that he wasn't looking for a fth/str build.

Would be best to have 30 faith to use sunlight blade (which is my goal) or 50 faith for sunlight blade AND using occult weapons for better scaling?

you want at least 40 for a buff so you get a decent amount of power out of it

but the buffs scales with talismans, not faith/int
