I highly doubt anyone has a SL1 at the Klin, I could be wrong but yeah. If you beat the four kings Gwyn should seem like chump change. Also, he's ridiculously easy to parry, to me at least, The moment you enter the fog gate he does a jumping lunge attack, it has a huge window to time your parry.

Some people might also be curious as to why you want to defeat Gwyn at SL1.

If you have trouble parrying him after that first one (I can't imagine how else you'd beat him at sl1) bear in mind it's even easier to parry his 2nd hit than his first, so just absorb the first one if you have to.
Now that I think of it another member here did a Youtube semi-speed run naked and shieldless and un-upgraded (though they didn't start as a pyro, so they were... sl5, I think), and they only parried Gwyn, barehanded, as the grand finale of the fight. Can't remember how he got his health down so far without the ripostes, and I can't find the vids.
