Dark Souls Video Review

I uploaded a fairly indepth video review of Dark Souls to youtube. I tried to cover everything in the review, and Dark Souls 2 is probably my most anticipated game.

It's a bit late, I love the review. I always enjoy reviews of Dark Souls.

I left a comment on the video, I would say more but I don't wish to start my review of your review. Simply put, I greatly enjoyed it and felt you did a good job talking about the game.

You did make a few really minor errors, such as when you spoke of Anor Londo I'm pretty sure you meant the whole land, which is Lordran. Technically though, Anor Londo is still a kingdom so it's just a minor thing.

Haha, yeah I'm glad I was recording for that. There was no way I was going to fight him on that narrow ledge in Anor Londo.

My friends and I have just started reviewing video games and we're trying to review every major title as they're released. On that note though, Dark Souls is one of my favorite games and I wanted to go back and review it. I promise the Dark Souls 2 review will be on time .

Hi Tolvo, thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. Yeah, I did mention Lordran towards the end of the review but you're right, I probably should have just referred to the land as Lordran earlier as well.

For Dark Souls 2. Just remember to take your time with the game and experience a good deal of it before making the review, don't feel any need to rush through the game and enjoy it first, then work on that review haha.

You have my support. But yeah, enjoy it(Dark Souls and when Dark Souls II comes out).

The intro was neat to. It gave the review its own special quality.

Yeah, I will. I'm not one to rush through a game, I'm sure I'll play Dark Souls 2 a good 100 hours before reviewing it. That probably won't take very long though, as I imagine I'll be playing it every free chance I get .

Excellent review. I dont think someone who has never played would watch that and feel mislead in any way. You hit on all the major points and didnt spoil anything (imo). +1

I look forward to the Dark Souls 2 review.

Also, was that reallllllly you playing the intro???, and was that from FF 7 or FF 10...I think its 10 right? Maybe I'm hearin stuff again. Those old game sountracks sneak up on me...Super Mario comes out in the strangest places nowadays. :suspect:

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah I'm really looking forward to Dark Souls 2, and if it's next gen, I'll gladly buy a PS4 or Xbox 720 to play it.

Haha, no, that wasn't me playing, I edited in the music. I tried to make it look as real as I could though . FF7 and 10 had great music but the song is actually from a boss fight in Dark Souls, I won't say which one in order to not spoil anything for anyone who hasn't reached that point. All of the music we use for our reviews are from the games we're reviewing.

classy intro and good review I really missed out on that game. How's the PC port though? I heard it's bad.

...I coulda swore I heard the Demon's Souls intro too....nice touch.

Thank you, I actually haven't played the PC version of the game. My review was done with the xbox version. Perhaps someone here who's played the Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition would be better suited to respond.

I haven't played it, but what most people say is the PC port is decent. It is not graphically updated so PC gamers will find it looks bad. It looks like the Xbox version to my knowledge. The keyboard controls can be difficult, so most people play with a controller instead. The keyboard controls not being up to snuff are the only complaints I've heard other than GFWL, and the amount of cheaters.

Yeah, I have heard that there's a lot more hackers for the PC version.

I know this might be off topic, but if anyone is interested, we finished reviewing Dead Space 3 which was unfortunately a bit of a disappointment.

Here are some more reviews of current games if anyone is interested

They're all great games, although not nearly as good as Dark Souls
