To start I've spent quiet a bit of time on forums for other games, suppling insight, ideas, and occasional humorous illogical bits. But never have I had such a difficult time finding my own posts/responses to my posts. Am I missing something or is the only way to find them by clicking view my posts and hunting and pecking for your own work as well as responses to through the entire topic?

If so then I don't know in whose power it is to do so, but adding two buttons would greatly increase the efficiency of responses as well as the forum in general. One button that takes you to your last post in that topic, and one that takes you to the last time you were quoted in that topic.

If these exist then feel free to delete the topic for me after letting me know where they are.

When you click that link, it takes you to a page where the last topic posted in is at the top of list that you posted in. If you want a particular post to stand out, check mark the notification button under your post box before hitting send. Another way is to open a thread you posted in, find your name, click the drop down menu and select find all posts. That will take you to a page showing wut you posted. Click the post and it will load and stop at that post so you can see wut has been posted after you.

That is wildly more useful than trying to find them by searching. However any way to locate responses to your post/posts you were quoted in?

Here is why I said the last option. Not everyone quotes. Take me for example. I use ps3 browser which has limited character usage. It's a pain trying to make large posts without using spoiler boxes all the time. Posts that are extremely long doesn't get quoted by me because cutting text is annoying. So, I usually type @so-n-so That way the person knows it was directed at them. I know wut you mean by searching ONLY quoted responses, but not everyone is going to quote you. If 10 people respond, 10 people won't be quoting. If you use a pc to access forum you could try this.
Click view your posts, open 1 of them in a new tab, use that one to see all your posts. Keep both tabs open, switching bk and forth to see if anything new was posted and click that post but put in tab #3.
I know it's a pain but you could also see all your posts and just right click each and close if it has nothing new.

True, I was merely curious if there was a way. And if not it was a suggestion for improvement to the site If anyone who is in control is bored and looking for something to do angry

Suggestions are always welcome. Maybe Fex or E will see this and give you a response here or in pm. It would be nice but not sure if it can be done. I haven't modded for awhile and things have changed in the CSS.

I just thought I'd give other alternatives.

I honestly don't find it difficult to remember when my last post in a thread.

If you post in a large thread, and return to see 6 new pages added, do you remember wut page you last posted or do you search your posts to make it easier?
His idea is just to make it easier to find his quoted posts. But, if someone responds without quoting, he has to go the regular route.

Generally I remember what page I was on. I only use the search through my posts if I'm looking for what posts got repped (petty, I know) silly

I understand what he's proposing, though I don't find it necessary I've contacted E and Fex to weigh in on the idea since they are the only ones who know what can and can't be added to the forum

    That's why I said maybe they'll respond.
Now you got me wondering something else. Is it only a mod thing or is there a way to see wut posts were rep'd?

I can't see what posts were uprepped (other than the obvious sign of seeing your post with a green line next to it), I have to go through my list of all posts (you can access it from your profile subsection statistics) to fine the ones that get uprepped. It's kinda tedious but I like to know what people enjoyed in my posting and what was less well received.

Heh, didn't say it was neccesary, but a useful button if you weren't the poster of the topic. Also really as an idea if the forums guys wanted a pet project big grin I have no idea how the site was coded, depending on that it can be anywhere from 30 seconds of work to impossible without a complete overhaul.

    Hi

We don't have a way to easily implement a "find where you were quoted" or your last post. The forum already has find your last read which should takes you to whatever you last saw - it should work in a similar form. There's also a new posts since my last visit and the option that I find rather useful

That last option is what I use most. It shows both new posts and posts you posted in. I should have mentioned that earlier LOL
