Simpson's Tapped Out Empty Simpson's Tapped Out

Post by JohnnyHarpoon Sun Aug 04, 2013 7:45 pm

Does anyone else here play this game?

I almost decided not to bring it up just because it didn't seem like most people here's thing, because, well, it's a stupid tap game. But I'm a lifelong fan of the Simpsons, and thought others might be, too, and thus maybe we both waste at least 5 minutes of our days playing this game. I know I like it mostly because it feels like a themed, mobile Sims of sorts, but that I can also kind of care about less, so it's nbd if I forget about it for a weekend or something.

Anyway, just wondering if anybody else plays this, or even if you downloaded it, hated it and deleted it or something, I just figured we could talk about it, positively or negatively (as there are plenty of both).

Also, aren't they gonna do a Simpson's - Family Guy crossover? I was excited when I heard about that.

Someone else asked this so I tried it. I think it's extremely well done. However, I get bored really easily with this type of game so it didn't stay long.

Yeah. It's totally not my 'kind of game' at all, but what I think allows me to enjoy it is the lack of commitment involved - I can play for 5 minutes and be done; or, if I want to, I can get more involved and complete more tasks, or even spend time obsessively landscaping, which really helped me kill time while my Playstation was YLOD.

In the end, it's the events (Valentine's Day for a month, Whacking Day for a month, 4th of July for a week) that have been highlights and make the game fun and really take advantage of the 'social' side of it, which makes you actually want to play for more than 5 minutes.

i brought this up a few months ago maybe. i still play actively. but i dont spend cash on it. so i dont get the nice premmy stuff, bummer but its FREE to play which is great.

as far as attention span, it looses me sometimes. but its great for killing 10 minutes in a waiting room or between office phone calls. and im a simpsons fan to, but gave up once it started swearing and just...started leaning more towards family guy. nothing against it but i liked that it was mostly family friendly, when barts catch phrase was 'eat my shorts' not 'kiss my ***'.

the drop in drop out is nice. if i forget to play for a few days, no harm done. towns still there.

if anyone wants to add me. same username as here.  passivefamiliar     i've considered trying to copyright my username. wish that was a thing.
