Enchanted or normal Uchigatana

Hi there,

ive searched for the better damage dealer, the enchanted +5 or the normal +15 Uchigatana.
My Character is a mage and im using the spell Crystal Magic Weapon.
Now my question is, what is better? The enchanted Uchi or the normal with the crystal magic buff?

I guess i want to level up Int more and secondary Dex.

If you have around 40 Dexterity, the normal +15 Uchigatana will always do more damage than any other version of the weapon, except for Crystal.

If you have only base, or low Dexterity, then the Enchanted Uchigatana will do more damage. However, if you use normal +15 Uchi, even with base Dex and buff it with CMW, it can do more damage than Enchanted Uchi +5, depending on your Int. If your Int is around 40, or more, CMW is sure to do more damage. Still, it would be best to have a Enchanted Uchi as a spare for when your buff runs out.

Another good idea is to have at least one elemental Uchi (or any other weapon you fancy), to deal with people using GMB.

Just buy 2 uchi's, use the +15 with CMW and swap when it runs out.

I accidently killed shiva and betrayed the forest hunter convenant...
so i have no chance to buy a second uchigatana.

i guess i will take the normal uchigatana...^^'

have you tried killing the merchant that sells you chain armor? he drops the uchigatana

For PvP the buff will be stronger, but it's less reliable in PvE because it has limited charges and runs out. I would go with Enchanted if you plan on using it for mostly PvE, unless you want to level Dex to 40, in which case the +15 will do more damage AND allow you to buff it.

If you want Another Katana. There is the Iiato you can pick up in upper blight town (an easy jump) Or if you want a second Uchi you could Kill the Undead merchant in the burg and he'll drop one (but now you can't buy junk from him)

At your stats it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a secondary weapon and make it +5enchanted. It'll serve you well inbetween buffs of the +15
