Attempting "real" SL50 invasions, need advice Empty Attempting "real" SL50 invasions, need advice

So I set myself the challenge of making a reasonable SL50 anor londo invasion build. I would take a reasonable path through the game, do 4 kings right after anor londo to join darkwraith and then stop there with whatever upgrade materials and souls I had. Then I realized I could almost max out all my weapons and armor, so I just didn't upgrade anything. Here's the build, everything's base except the bow is fire +2 and the pyro flame is +10.

    http://mmdks.com/3btd

Now I'm trying to do "real" invasions. No green blossoms, that's a waste of souls. Only have 6 humanities (gave 30 for dark armor) so no healing. Only item I use is lloyd's talisman.

But it's hard, it's really hard. If they have a phantom, it's really hard to keep them lloyds'd the whole fight. I was using dark wood ring but swapped to hornet so I can punish those heals. Also having problems with turtles (I've been considering putting one more point in dex and making a base lightning shotel).

Basically I'm just looking for general PvP advice in this situation. Any tips or tricks that aren't "chain backstab FTW".

Edit: bonus glamour shot, love this armor combo

Really no green blossom? I found them to be very useful especially when you are fighting against multiple enemies and have to do a lot of dodging/running. And 1000 Souls aren't that expensive. Otherwise try to use the npcs as much as possible and try splitting them up. If you start running they often get careless because of their superior numbers and think you flee in terror. Use this to your advantage lure them away from the shortest way to the foggate. Usually while running after you they have their guard down and won't expect an attack. Suddenly turn around and attack him. Often his friends won't be there and still need a few seconds to arrive. Try finishing him off in this time. If they arrive before you finish him and they have the possibility to swarm and get behind you rather run again then risk death. This running tactic works especially well in narrow passages like stairs. He can't back away from you because his friends block him and his friends often can't hit you because he blocks them. It' perfect for negating their numerical superiority. Also getting them to areas with Silver Knights helps evening the play field. Try luring them through all of Anor Londo if possible so they have to waste a lot of estus/you have more chances to kill one/all of them. Your final fallback point are the Royal Sentinels in the cathedral. Even without a Darkwraith they are strong enemies. Fighting them and a Darkwraith can be a real nightmare. Keep in mind even if they kill you every estus/healing miracle used is one less for the boss fight, thus raising the chance that they lose it. Giving you another chance to invade them and finish your work.
If they don't fall for your running and luring and simply procede to the foggate. Wait till they reach an area where they are fighting npcs and then start your suprise attack. If they start to overwhelm you try running and luring them away from the bonfire sometimes this causes them to follow you into your traps even if they didn't fell for it the first time because they don't want you to suprise attack them again. If they don't, make your final stand with those brave royal sentinels! Fight a guerilla war of attrition and try to dictate the game and take away their initiative by deciding where and when you fight them so they can merley react instead of act.
Best of luck to you! May you stab them and take their humanity!Duel

Edit: Oh yeah and don't instantly run fight them for a bit first so when you start running it looks like you lost all hope of beating them and simply run for your life.

Seems like a nice build, might try it out myself if you don't mind.

Nice, no blossoms. You aren't using them for reasons of how expensive they are, but I just don't use them for redundancy. If two people are fighting, and both of them use it, it basically takes away a whole portion of the game which is managing your stamina. Plus I hate that every person I fight is glowing green and sparkly.

But if you are invading Anor Londo, take Fire Tempest with you. It is an instant stop to all those questers. Give them a chase, running around corners, then around one corner power up that tempest and hit them as they come through.

I would also suggest trading the chaos fireball for a Great Fireball and Fire Orbs or Fire Surge. Lobbing fireballs at them all day down a narrow hallway is very effective at giving you breathing room and cutting down their health, and with fire surge they basically have to walk through fire to even touch you. Suggest Bellowing Dragoncrest ring for this if you want to focus on the pyro, or just practice your menu swapping.

And always remember - Run to the staircase! Odds are they won't know how to do the staircase jump to other levels, so it is a great way to get away and swap to other things.

Some good advice. I'm not gonna use fire tempest specifically since I don't want to kill Quelana, but I'll try out firestorm. Even if I run the game with this build I want to leave it in its "natural" state.

I've been neglecting using my pyromancies and I shouldn't be. When Bale suggested narrow corridors I thought "but furysword", but pyromancies are perfect for that situation. Fire surge might be pushing it a bit, but painted world is on the way to O&S and I did do asylum already, so it may just fit the theme.

For the blossoms: 1000 per invasion is a lot when you get 1500 per invasion won. And the other half of it is I don't like the look of the green glow.

I was already using mobs to even it up, but I'll try the running away and ambushing more, and running into narrow corridors to bust out the pyromancy.

Sticky: feel free. Just try not to be too much of a **** with it; it was built in the spirit of fun invasions, not torturing newbies.

You made some great suggestions here, I broke up the wall of text into some paragraphs to make it easier to read. Just a friendly suggestion for future posts since it will help ensure people read through all your points. Proper Bow

Green blossoms are one of the least talked-about metagame changers.  Stronger than any two stamina regen equipment items combined, blossoms allow you to ignore stamina much more than would otherwise be advisable, and allows extra turtling, extra attacks after blocks, faster recovery on blocks/attacks leaving less openings.  This alters gameplay drastically, and it's interesting what items/equipment become commonly accepted and what become "cheap".  You basically can gain the effect of a grass crest shield + mask of child while wearing neither and using better equipment in both slots, and nobody bats an eye even though healing is frowned upon lol.

It's okay, green blossoms are for the weak lol! Well if I had to give you advice it would be:

    Try stabbing in the back.

Actually, your main damage is fire, if you run up against someone in black iron you're screwed. Especially with the Furry Sword. All it's gonna take is Black Knight No-Anthro Shield and you can hack away doing little damage.

If you don't want to deal with invading Dark Anor camping jumpers, I invade at Solaire's bonfire. Plenty of time for me to BC out. I used to invade at the start, but didn't like it at all. Too many people just camp and stubbornly refuse to come down and fight you.

I've been thinking I may try to add heal to my roster, since I'm not using humanity. Maybe something like this: http://mmdks.com/3c0b

The one slot can be swapped between force/firestorm/fire surge. Force could be very useful for crowd control, but I might be too tempted to use it on the walkways, which would be mean silly
