Just wondering if these two items allow you to go completely stealth-cloaked to slip past tough enemies? Or will they still spot you when you get within a certain range?

Has anyone ever used Hush and RoF to bypass enemies?

Same here. The two rings are nice since it's perma stealth. The combination is actually pretty incredible.

Yes and I'll echo what others have said that they are very effective. First time I went into the DLC they saved me from getting gang banged unexpectedly.

I usually have RoFaP equipped so I just two-hand a small weapon while being at medium weight instead of wasting a ring slot for SDCR. Combined with Fog Ring I can sneak through some areas completely unnoticed. The enemies can hear me if I sprint or roll though so I have to jog the whole way.
If I don't have RoFaP equipped I'll just use Fog Ring and SDCR and sprint through the area.

Don't forget that spells have stronger effect than rings.
You can use this combination to sneak around pretty much any enemy as long as you don't stand in it's field of vision, while being close (5-7 meters in most cases). Even if they see you, they won't aggro immediately and will instead come closer to make sure they really saw you, or if it's the hours and days of standing at the same spot finally making them go cuckoo.
If you back away, they will turn around and return to their post. Even if they get aggro on you, they will also lose it very quickly should you decide to run away.
This works also on bosses, but you need someone else to be their primary aggro target. So if you're alone, it does nothing, but if you have a phantom with you, the boss will leave you alone until you hurt it. Even so, it will shift it's attention to the other guys quickly.
There are exceptions to this.
Ceaseless sees you no matter what. So does Arty. He has a habit of ignoring phantoms and going for the host at any random time. Dogs will be affected, but the effect is little. Well, you're undead, so you probably smell pretty bad. Makes sense I guess.
Also doesn't work on BoC, which is a goddamn shame. It seems to notice you a bit later, but will still notice you.

Yes all the time. I've used Hush, Hidden Body, SDCR, and RoF in various situations all throughout pve while speed running.
I use both rings whenever possible. However, if I have to pick 1 ring and 1 spell, I'll pick Hidden Body every time. Imo, SDCR works the best because most enemies do not have you directly in their line of sight compared to your speed route. In other words, by the time they see you, you're already gone.
I usually use Grass Crest Shield, Mask of Child, and a Green Blossom in conjuncton with these tactics if I can. I just take off running, and never look back.
The DLC is a great example of this. I run straight to Arotrias and open the short cut. After him, I run straight to the elevator in the township, and then go spend my souls because speed running to the bonfire in the dungeon is usually next...I I hardly ever get it the 1st time. Baiting the chain prisoner away from the elevator can be tricky at times.
Also, I compliment it with the DWGR sometimes. Cumbustions and Force can help too.

This is probably a dumb question, but you cannot cast both Hush and Hidden Body together, right? One always has to be a ring....
I've been playing bows-only lately, and I want to try things I have never done before, and stealthing through sections is one of them.

No you cannot, nor can you use a green blossom while either of those spells are active.

I've used it and it works well. I'll also use slumbering dragoncrest and the fog ring together.

Fog ring + drop shortcut = 45 seconds from the first tomb bonfire to Nito. It's pretty nuts what you can do with RoFog and SDCR sometimes.
No matter how sneaky I try to be it doesn't seem to work on the Anor Londo Archers...grrrr
Also Fog ring and a bow is mad mad mad stupid in some places. You can leisurely pick off EVERYTHING in the demon ruins without any of them ever getting close to you, they just take the arrow to the face then look around confused. If I still have the RoSacrafice from near firelink on me and I picked up the Fog ring from snuggly (I usually do since I often kill pinwheel and venture into the tomb for the Silver Serpent Ring, a Ring best Worn all game long) as soon as I beat Kellogs, I head down and take out Ceaseless then clear the ruins and grab the fire Ember and then suicide hop into the lava for the chaos ember. A short trip back to the asylum plus the rewards from the great hallow and you've got yourself a +3 chaos or +8 fire weapon, almost assuring you'll be able to drop snake men and silver knights in a single BS. Quite handy.
All that made possible by a silly ring that makes you slightly translucent

Truth be told you don't even need the Fog ring for TOTG due to enemy setup and the abundance of shortcuts (I suppose From wanted it this way where it hits you hard if you go through the direct route), but very good for those that are uneasy taking blind drops off edges for the first time.

Fog Ring is handy to get the large divine ember. Deal with those skelleys one at a time.
