    My Build
Keep in mind this is my plan, I am only 110 right now, The only things that change is my vit and end go from 32 to 38 and my strength goes from 32 to 40. What's a good build for using weapons like the Claymore, Halberd, Scythe and Greatswords in general, while still being able to use Darkmoon Blade as I like the Blade of the Darkmoon Covenant, I've had a lot of luck in PvP with them.

For those weapons and Darkmoon Blade, a quality/faith build. Quality means both dexterity and strength, and faith obviously means having a high faith. I suggest you drop the points you put into intelligence and put them in attuenement (I suggest maximum 16), vitality and/or endurance. (40 for both)

You definitely will not be able to stand on equal ground against some completely min-maxed builds when you have this build, unless to go to a higher level, in which case you will get a lot less action.

So, I did what I could. First off, if you make a quality build, your dexterity is more important then strength in most every situation. You can get the same damage from investing in strength fully by simply two-handing the weapon. Every point into strength becomes useless after 27 or 28 if you two-hand your weapon. So, dex is typically better.

I assume your armor was for aesthetics? So I changed the armor around a bit and kept some aesthetics enough that you don't look like a hideous freak and maintain some bad-assery when you are fighting.

You for some bizarre reason have points into intelligence without using it. Dark Bead and Dark Orb are two great spells that you can use at very low intelligence investment. So I put those on. And one thing I might add, is the Dark Orb then Dark Bead combo. When you are fighting someone, and you use dark magic, they expect it to be one of two things; Dark Bead or Pursuers. So whenever you are about to cast dark magic, they dodge. If it is pursuers, they can realize their dodge did nothing and run away. But, cast Dark Bead to show that you have it, maybe get a hit on them from the surprise that you are a mage. Cast it one more time, and it doesn't matter if you miss. But then, switch to Dark Orb. It has a longer casting time, and people will immediately dodge thinking it is Dark Bead, and you will most likely hit them during a dodge or if they don't expect it and think that it is Pursuers. Make sure to use this very close up, as they won't dare get very close on the fear of Dark Bead or Pursuers at point blank range.

Unless your opponent is healing, or just daft, you won't hit anything with that Lightning spear. Wrath of the Gods is much, much more useful, more damaging(I think) and can be used it a much wider variety of situations while also being much easier to land.

Balder shield because it is lighter with only one point less stability.

And ta da! A build is made. http://mmdks.com/326a

I would change the Dark Orb to a spell that would defend you from enemy spells, Great Magic Barrier would be the best one in my opinion. It would be a good way to fight mage builds that are based on doing heavy damage purely with magic also since most of the time those builds have low HP and poise you will be able to defeat them easily.

    My suggestion: http://mmdks.com/327f

No big explanation, just most stats start giving much worse returns after 40 and you get a 1.5x strength bonus when you 2hand your weapon. So 40 dex max, and then 27 str (27 * 1.5 = 40.5) because after that you're only gaining damage when you 1hand so it's not really worth it.

Str has a few sweet spots a bit higher than 27.  I'm making a build now that will stop at 34.  You need 34 to 2hand havel's shield, which I will use to buff defense/poise then menu swap off.  However, a bit higher than 27 is also useful for str weapons with 1h specials, such as the golem axe.  I would only go past 27 on pure str builds though; the one I'm putting together is a cleric starting class with 8 dex lol.  IMO pure str goes well with vit gouge or faith as you have spare points if you don't level dex at all (as opposed to going to 40 or 45 dex, you stop at 27 str or maybe a bit higher with fewer total points in scaling stats).

I wish demon great weapons weren't so freaking slow.

Anyway, for c/c scaling weapons you obviously want more in dex because you get more damage that way.  For example even with a heavy weapon like zwei going from 27/40 to 40/40 while 2 handing is worth only 17 AR...there are better places to put 13 stat points!  Dex scales very well on C or better until 40.

Thanks! I did the points into Int so I could meet the Abyss Greatsword's requirements. It doesn't seem like it actually scales with Int though so I do not understand why it is there. I had no idea how much more Dex gave me until I started messing around with the character planner. I think I will do what your suggestions are as right now I can only win like 3 of every 10 invasions or summons in the Burg/Oolacile (1v1 fights) usin halberd, shotel and claymore, and I would like to have a little more of an edge against people. I know to stay away from the forest until I am very skilled bc that's where the majority of the ganking is.
I have killed a few people running away with the lightning spear silly , but you're right, its pretty useless until I am good at unlocked aiming. I have ignored most spells bc I didnt realize how good Dark Magic was until I came face-to-face. I think I will start using it now. Armor is for Aesthetics, I got it, liked it's look for PvP and have just worn it, not really thinking too much of its mediocre stats. I will note, that I do a lot of Artorias role-playing because I find the Lore around him fascinating and that is usually when I get win every 1 in 10.
In general PvP, however, the Darkmoon Blade seems to do well at making up for my stats/lack of skill. I do not suck, I just can't predict people well yet. I would like to practice as a Darkmoon and then start to do Darkwraith invasions as I hear those are generally tougher, but easier to find.
