the Royal Wood *tiny spoiler*

There's a lift in the tower in the Royal Wood. In the online demos I see that the lift is activated by stepping in the plate and it will go up/down. When I enter the tower the lift is at the bottom and when I step on the plate it doesn't move.

I've been away from this game for a while so maybe I'm rusty, is there something I missed.

I've killed all the inhabitants of the wood too.

Any advice?

Is this the lift where the bottom is near Crossbow trader guy (forget his name sorry), but you have to activate it near the trader before it will move.

it could be the lift near the trader u speak of, but i have not got that far yet. so i assume i need to activate it from the bottom of the lift shaft 1st? 

i'e just started playing the DLC so this area is new to me.

i'll venture further and try to find the trader.

On all the lifts in the dlc you have to activate it at the bottom of the shaft before you can call it from the top
