Whats your most fun build? - It doesn't have to the most successful and could be experimental. Just the one you love to play with the most.

Mine is the Faith Ninja I just built. Her stats are (cleric) V40/A14/E40/S14/D45/R &I base/F 30. I use Shadow set with Thief mask + Iaito/Comp bow R/H and Canvas talisman/ Target shield L/H along with Dung/poison knives/heavy & poison arrows/Wog/SLB & GMB.

I also use Ring of F & P and have an empty slot for Hornet/wolf/hawk/Fog etc.

I like being really light and not actually needing the DWGR and I'm learning alot about dodging because she has like 0 poise . Also about using the bow. I die alot because I get stun-locked into oblivion and I still haven't got the bow timing down but its awesome fun rolling around like crazy trying tag people with arrows. When you get it right its magic! big grin

any that i built from scratch. i take a great deal of pride in winning with my builds. some are just variants of standard builds but others are like my weaponless pyro/scorcery/faith build. (yes it takes lots of finesse, every fight is terrifying)

Black cleric and Pharis hat. I can't get over how awesome I look. Also the GSoA looks cool, with the gravelord sword offhand.

Ha - I know what you mean. I've tried and few times to go in with just the bow and target shield and its damn tough. I think I only won like 1 or 2 times, lol, but they were very satisfying, 'edge of your seat' fights.

I'm not imaginative enough to come up with cool builds. My favorite build is my DMB GC. It is a powerhouse and reminds me of my GAxe from DeS.

my paladin leeroy build, 50 str, 30 faith. technically it should've been 34 str just to two hand grant since even leeroy cant two hand but i wanted that rolling r1 attack, its the most fun ive had in a while.

Double Dragon Bone Fisting strength build. Who needs defense in your left hand when you can punch them twice as much instead? Also Shoryuken. Never forget the Shoryuken, the only thing in the game (to my knowledge) besides the ever-boring BKGA that can send opponents flying 15 feet into the air.

i think the second move in the DSS r2 combo can do that as can the gravelord miracles.

my current fun build is the shield fighter, i smack opponents with upgraded pierce or spiked shields, its surprisingly effective as the one handed r1 is like a battle axe attack minus the stagger when you miss! also as my pierce shield is divine it scales with int (whtknight has confirmed that div shield scale with int) and has that divnine effect. and this char has high int so if the shield fails(which happens rarely) i can use spells!

Probably the Int/Dex build I just made since I haven't seen anyone do the same thing yet. Plus Velka's Rapier kicks *** with Dex/Int scaling.

For me it has to be the new Gravelord running Hollow Thiefs gear. I look really cool, get some pretty good, long pvp duels with new players, and actually get to be a working GL.

Its great I don't have to worry about WoG or Twop because no one can cast them! Its great fun. Plus I'm now experimenting with thrusting weapons like spears and rapiers which are actually really good.

I love my faith/int build. 44 int, 28 faith, TCC, velka's talisman, dusk crown, moonlight GS, and moonlight horn = insanely versatile and fun.

I'm also loving the str dragonoid I'm working on now. The riposte animation for the great club and demons machete is awesome when you're wearing a hornet's ring.

Totally worthless in combat, but the most fun build I've ever had is my male forest covenant streaker build. Only armor is a sack, and then LH dark hand, RH pyro glove. Only spells are as many poison/toxic/acid clouds as you can carry. Rings are lingering dragoncrest (to increase how long the clouds stay) and anything other ring you want BUT the ring of fog, as the whole point is to go streaking visibly.

I use this guy to troll the forest farmers. Points are awarded for how many times you can run naked through the group of greatsword spammers without getting hit. Your spells are used for either smoke screens to effect an escape, or to hide in and then streak out of at the most amusing moment. Although it's nearly impossible to kill anyone directly (punching with the pyro glove is hilarious though), you can rack up a surprising number of kills by enraging everyone and then running around in the trees while the treants etc deal with them. My favorite was somehow toxifying an entire 3 person group of havels farmers, and then making them chase my buck nekkid toon through the woods and then getting them jumped by 5-6 treants.

I totally want to do that now, I would bust out laughing so hard if someone actually did that to me. Did you end up killing them all?

So giving you a plus one tomorrow, nothing short of awesome haha.

That's awesome, befowler. Does lingering dragoncrest ring actually increase the length of the clouds? I had no idea.

I think the two summons ate it, but the host eventually got away (I was dead at that point). The treants are deceptively dangerous in groups; their long range attacks stack of course so if they all aggro at once they can stunlock even havels guys if they sneak up on them. Which is the point of streaking, of course, you get them so focused on killing you that they ignore everything else around them.

Some folks see the humor in it and I often get a lot of bows and the occasional PM particularly if I survive for a while. Other folks get really, really angry and do their best to backstab me with something horrible. Every so often, I'll double troll those guys by equipping a real weapon offhand, doing my little song and dance, and then surprise lightning claymore to the face.

I will say this, if you ever want to learn about evasion, this is the build. With no offense and no armor it's all you have, plus you also need to learn how to give yourself enough space to get off those terribly slow cloud spells. Ironically, I learned more about PvP with this guy than any other one.

I must apologize for my previous statement about Dragon Bone Fists, since I have discovered a new joy only yesterday in the form of Blacksmith Hammers, especially the Giant Blacksmith Hammer. It's range is surprising and its R2 attack is an awesome gap-closer (probably because it's just a jumping attack lol), and also the irony that it's a wooden hammer that somehow deals lightning damage silly

Andre's Hammer is fun just because it has all the upgrade paths available to it (though I don't know how it compares to regular maces/pickaxes in terms of strength, the wiki seems short on some of the upgrade paths for those).

    Hammer of Vamos is dumb.

I've always wanted to use the Giant Blacksmith's hammer. It looks hilarious. It's like a giant clown mallet. How fast/slow is its R1?

Lol @ Befowler - Thats awesome!

Streaking can be fun sometimes. I summoned a red to duel on in the PW tower once, but he chain bs'd me and with a sliver of life left I thought whats the point so I just chucked all my gear off (which funnily enough he let me do because presumeably he didn't think it was 'fair' to attack me while I wasn't doing anything!) and then ran around naked the whole courtyard area for ages (I'd cleared it) with him chasing me. After about 15 mins I got bored and suicided off the bridge.

Its moveset is identical to that of other small hammer weapons like the Mace or Morning Star so use those to get a feel for its R1. The only difference really is that it's R2 is replaced with the small hammers' jumping attack as opposed just being a slightly more delayed hit. Its damage isnt too bad fully upgraded actually (at minimum wielding requirements it's got ~500 total damage, 300 of it as lightning damage), but where it really shines is the range. I'd estimate it as about the same as a rapier (not the Estoc though) or only a little bit shorter than a Greatsword.
