buying *** digital version Empty buying *** digital version

Post by passivefamiliar Sat Jun 29, 2013 8:00 am

so, I have just gotten the urge for this. I am googling now. But wanted to ask, anyone done it? Anyone have some advice, iI'm not exactly bilingual so reading Japanese isn't going to happen. Just going to try and find out how much yen it cost, but a psn card off amazon then root around till I find the game.

I want the multiple trophy lists as much aI want the alternate world/populated people to play with. I may get an EU one while imI'm at it. Sadly, its not on sale. I shouldve grabbed it when it was half off...

Well, with the disc version, your server was chosen by what region the disc was made for and not wherever you currently were geographically. If it's anything like the disc version, the version you get will be based on where your PSN account is registered to, not where you're currently living. So as long as you have an EU or NA PSN account, you should get your respective server even if you're living in an Asian area.

Though that's just logic I'm speaking with, not experience. So take from that what you will straight face

If I'm not mistaken you can top up your PSN wallet with a credit card or Paypal.

correct, but also, not. you cant use a credit card on a psn account in a different region unless you have a credit card that is adressed to that region. like a us account need a credit card that is addressed to the us. so you cant use a credit card from the us on a japanese account...unless you know otherwise?

i would love love love to be wrong about this, if i could just drop my credit card on a japanese psn account i'd be happy.

sony didnt make it that easy though sad to say. have to use creditcard/psn card from the same region.

Those stars represent slang or a slandering of some kind. Since the forum does not allow slandering of any kind, it is in a way, ignorant. Not saying you are being ignorant, the program considers it that way.

The word J then A then P back in the day (it was either during WWI or WWII) used to be an insulting racial slur used against Japanese Americans.  It was the Japanese equivalent of calling an African American the N-word.  It's not used very often nowadays in general, but it was a really heavy and serious insult in its origins, and it's censored for that.  If you're looking to shorten Japanese, just use the shorthand JPN (not just here, but in general).

Ah, didn't know that. Perhaps you could find some kind of Japanese debit Visa/Mastercard service? I wouldn't know how to go about it though.

    well - bad luck.
i bought it some month ago from play-asia.com for around $20 - it was the PS3 The Best version (Chinese with engl. language) - now it's sold out and the only asian Version with engl. language i can find there ist around $40 (PS3 Ultra Pop...never heard of that, looks like PS3 The Best).
But i would buy the disc for $40 even if it costs only $10 in the asian ps3 store, if i am not able to read anything in psn. Just a thought - what if you make a Hongkong Account? Shouldn't that be an asian account with engl. language?
