Daggers: Dagger (low stat req, excellent critical damage, very fast)

Straight Swords: Broad sword (nice sweeping dead angles)

Greatswords: N/A

Ultra Greatswords: Zwei

Curved Swords: Falchion

Katanas: N/A (Overrated historical weapon lol)

Curved Greatswords: GLGS

Piercing Swords: Rapier (used to like estoc, but this is lighter)

Axes: Probably crescent even though I haven't used it much yet.

Great Axes: Great axe

Hammers: Reinforced Club

Great Hammers: Large Club

Fist Weapons: N/A

Spears: Winged spear

Halberds: Halberd

Whips: N/A

Bows: Short Bow (can't beat the weight + fire speed + utility)

Great Bows: Dragonslayer GreatTroll

Crossbows: Light xbow

Catalysts: Ascended Pyro +5

Talismans:  Thorulund (mostly use lower faith)

Now now.  That isn't TECHNICALLY correct (which is the best kind of correct).  Giant mecha often wield energy swords or other giant pieces of metal that in no way resemble a katana.  I'm pretty sure that, say, Gatts from Berserk also never used anything that could even remotely be construed as a katana (actually this is true in a lot of anime that instead emphasize BFS) and essentially breaks any smaller sword with that nonsense easily.  I'm not a big fan of some of the female-oriented genres but my take is that many of them lack swords at all.

If I had said something about anime school girls or giant robots on the other hand...

But I would totally use either of those things in Dark Souls.  Just think of the trolling!!!!

I was genuinely surprised that more than once I saw a list that had ZERO overlap with my own personal favorites.

Though I may need to update my list, I've been having a blast with the Zwei lately, it's just so LIGHT compared to the DGM I feel like I can do stuff other than pound the 'increase End button'

I understand the frustrations, but in fairness that other thread wasn't that popular and it's been over a month since anyone posted in that thread.

In fact if you look at the dates, OP signed up to the forum 2 days after the last post in the other thread was made. It's a fair assumption he had no knowledge of the previous thread

I don't have a problem with this, it's just duplicate threads when we have 5 discussion threads about honour and a guy posting the same question 3 times in discussion that we don't accept.

Also this should be in general discussion, not PvP. Moving over now.
